Lovely stay at the Mitsui Garden Kyoto Station. The staff were so helpful and kind. Breakfast was good with various options.
Did laundry on site, super easy with their all in one washer/dryer.

Centrally located and convenient to Kyoto Station. You can walk to many restaurants and shops. Ambience was serene, room was very tidy and comfortable. Included Japanese breakfast was plentiful and high quality.

The location is great, five minutes walk to Kyoto Station. Easy access to trains and buses. Lots of stores and restaurants close by. Staff are friendly and professional, always willing to assist. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. I’d like to point out that the breakfast is very well planned and delicious, highlighting the local Kyoto specialties. We just moved onto their sister hotel MGH Osaka Premier for the rest of the Japan trip, we found the breakfast at MGH Kyoto Station was designed and prepared with more heart and attention to detail. Will definitely return for next trip. Thank you very much for making our stay in Kyoto so enjoyable! Keep up the great job!

Some of the rooms are facing the side of another building receiving very little light through windows that cannot be opened, making them somewhat dungeon-like. If this bothers you, ask to see the room before they assign it to you. Beds were also kinda hard. Other than that a convenient property with great service.

Muy cerca de la estación de tren y autobuses turísticos, se puede ir andando y la torre de Kioto muy próxima .
Con muchos restaurantes y tiendas de conveniencia alrededor.
Desayuno muy variado y abundante tanto el occidental como el japonés . Servicio gratuito de 12 pm a 12 am de zumos, tés , galletas..... habitación muy amplia y con muchas amenities
Recepcionista Maki extraordinaria!!!! nos ayudó en todo y nos hizo la estancia muy agradable, siempre con una sonrisa!! Lo recomiendo y volvería sin dudarlo a este hotel!!

I did not give a 5 for two reasons: First reason: You need to leave your room card in the slot next to door to turn on the lights in the room & bathroom; to turn off lights, take card out. When we needed to use the bathroom, it would have to be in the dark or turn on all the lights & wake up the others in the room. One should be able to turn on bathroom light only. Also replace the bathroom glass door so the light doesn’t spread throughout the room. Second reason: basically no window. There is a beautiful sliding window pane but it opens to a frosted glass window & you cannot see outside. It would have been nice to be able to see whether it was raining or sunny outside without having to go down the first floor just to look outside. Of the 6 days we stayed in the hotel, 1 was cloudy, 3 were sunny & 2 were raining. Otherwise, staff were excellent.
