Sakuraya

This is a delightful hotel run by very helpful and friendly people, and we had a wonderful stay. We were in one of the Japanese-style rooms with a view of the water, which was amazing. The room was very comfortable. The oysters cooked at the place at the hotel entrance were great.

Une auberge a prix modéré au coeur du bourg à Miyajima. Onsen ouvert jusqu'à 23h. Pratique pour plusieurs nuits afin d'avoir l'île tranquille avant 9h et après 17h, et possibilité d'excursion à Hiroshima pour la journée.

Stedet er en helt fantastisk oase med en rigtig skøn værtinde, som er meget servicerende. Her er rig mulighed for selvforkælelse og afslapning. Helt klart anbefalingsværdigt.

Miyajima est une île ultra-touristique insupportable entre 9h et 17h. Nous avons fait le choix d’y rester 2 nuits pour profiter des matinées et fin de journée calmes. Et d’aller à Hiroshima un après midi en revenant par le dernier ferry. Compter 1h de tram entre l’embarcadère et le centre, 1h20 jusqu’à la gare Shinkansen. Des qu’on s’éloigne du bourg et qu’on prend la peine de marcher (mont Misen des 6h, monastère Daisho-in).

If I could rate this hotel 11/10, I would. Breathtaking views from our gorgeous room with tatami, futon and private bathroom. There's a traditional Japanese shared bath in basement too. It's about 200m from ferry and 300m or so from the shrine. Don't stay anywhere else

Lovely hotel with a great view of the sea, me and my spouse enjoyed the onsen in the hotel.

Accueil attentionné dans cet hôtel face à la mer, en chambre traditionnelle,très paisible le soir quand le flot de touristes a repris le ferry. Idéalement placé, il propose bain relaxant après une journée de visite : notre meilleure adresse au Japon !

Good location. Our only problem is the bathroom is too small. No space to move around especially if you are a tall perso or too big. But the bed are comfy. Check out is 10am and they won't let us extend.

Bel hôtel, la chambre super grande, le personnel super gentil et les futons pour dormir très confortable, mais pour une grande personnes, les pieds dépassent.

Beautiful ryokan style rooms with lovely warm duvets on comfy futons. Within walking distance of the ferries. Our hosts were very gracious, with lots of suggestions for dining. Next trip I will definitely stay a couple of days at Surakaya.

Una habitación más tradicional pero muy amplia, cómoda y limpia. Con baño en la habitación y opción de baño público. También tienen un servicio de cafetería a la entrada. Personal amable y atento. Check in y check out rápidos.

Une auberge charmante, vue sur la mer et le calme de l’ile de miyajima. La chambre est typique et belle. Le service est excellent avec un accueil des plus gentils. La nuit, le calme regne sur l’ile. Le petit dejeuner pourrait gagner en qualite notamment les fruits mais il est probable que ce soit general au pays

Great hotel and location.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The place was slightly old but the team has definitely kept the place in excellent condition and our stay here was super comfortable! Amenities and facilities were good. Our room's view was awesome, overlooking the sea. Overall, was a truly positive experience and would love to return to Sakuraya if we ever came back to Miyajima!

An excellent ryokan at a reasonable price. Pleasant, professional staff. Clean and comfortable room. I WILL use this ryokan on my next visit to Miyajima.
