Booked one night here because the onsen looked nice, now I wish I would have stayed a whole week. We arrive to quite friendly staff who treated us like royalty. The hotel has a traditional Japanese feel that I haven’t experienced anywhere else in Japan! To our surprise our room came included with Breakfast and dinner all elaborately served to the room. The staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable and I can’t recommend this place enough!

We (a couple) had a wonderful time in this very nice Ryokan. We stayed 2 days. The food was delicious and of high quality, the private onsen as well as the public mixed awesome very enjoyable. I would highly recommend Yusakaso and thank you so much for this unforgettable experience! Arigato gozaimasu!

We (a couple) had a wonderful time in this very nice Ryokan. We stayed 2 days. The food was delicious and of high quality, the private onsen as well as the public mixed awesome very enjoyable. Gives you an experience that Japanese locals would do on their time away from the city while also being able to cater to foreign travelers. Onsen was amazing with a lovely backdrop of the Hakone mountains. and the food was a great alternative to the overhyped cuisine many people recommend over social media.
Staff was welcoming and accommodating. Spoke English and communicated the rules clearly and described the dishes we had.
The room itself was spacious, smelled sweet of tatami flooring and was air conditioned.
10/10 would recommend to anyone travelling to Hakone
If you are limited in mobility, travel arrangements can be made as the properly is located 15minutes uphill

最近旅行に行けていなかったので、どこか行きたいなと温泉のある宿を探してコチラへ。
前日まで忙しかったり、1泊だけということもあり、ほぼ前情報なしで到着。
箱根湯本からバスもあったようだけど、天気も良かったのでブラブラ散歩して。
後半は上り坂なので足腰の弱い人はバスがいいかな。
チェックイン時間の少し後に着いたら、まだ早めだったためか5人くらいのスタッフさんにお出迎えされた。
部屋数にしては少し多過ぎてビックリ。
貸切風呂の予約もこの時に。
部屋は広い和室で、トイレと洗面所があって快適。
早速浴衣に着替えて大浴場へ。
この宿で1番ビックリしたのが、男湯と女湯の奥にある露天風呂がなんと混浴！
早い時間で自分達だけだったので、彼女と露天風呂で合流。
明るい時間に露天風呂に2人で入るだけで新鮮だけど、貸切でなく他の人が来るかもと思うとすごく不思議な感じだった。
ココがこの宿で1番印象に残ったな。
夕食も朝食も部屋食で、アジア系の女性が流暢な日本語でひとつひとつの料理を丁寧に説明してくれた。
夕食は刺身、天ぷら、肉入り鍋など品数も多く、ボリュームもあってとても満足できた。
夕食後には貸切風呂を、朝にはもう一度大浴場に入ったが、他のカップルが露天風呂にいたので遠慮した。
部屋数も少なくこぢんまりした宿で、チェックアウトまで他のお客さんに会うことも少なくとても静かでのんびりできた。
2Fの部屋のすぐそばには小さな喫煙ルームもあった。
チェックアウト後は目の前のバスで駅に行く人が多かったかな。
全体にはシンプルに静かでリラックスできる良い宿だった。

This was a perfect spot if you are looking for a traditional Japanese onsen experience. The staff were courteous and thoughtful, and the service in room was excellent. The private baths, as well as the public bath outside, were clean and well maintained, and the outdoor bath was tastefully designed. Traditional japanese dinner served in the room was very tasty. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a retreat!

We loved the traditional ryokan style offered at Yusakaso. The staff really goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable and also to explain how to use the different facilities. Thankfully you could reserve the use of the private family onsen for 30 minutes. We used this time to experience the hot springs and took advantage of the shower facilities there since there is only a toilet and sink in your room. We wanted to experience the traditional Japanese Ryokan and this is really it. The food was very good and plentiful, and again quite traditional. We stayed here just for one night and enjoyed all the highlights of Hakone using the 2 Days free pass. This was one of our favorite areas to visit, and the experience at Yusakaso was definitely part of it. We were very pleased.

Ainutlaatuinen kokemus yöpyä tällaisessa perinteikkäässä paikassa. Sisustus, palvelu, ruoka ja kylpylä olivat perijapanilaista ja todella laadukasta. Palvelu oli pienestä kielimuurista huolimatta loistotasoa, ruoka erikoista mutta hyvää. Pieni kylpylä oli siisti ja kaunis. Sijainti oli hyvä. Suhteellisen lähellä asemaa, shutlle bussilla pääsi suoraan ovelta. 15 min kävelymatka Onsen Tenzan -kylpylään. Tätä ryokania voi mielellään suositella!

The food was amazing and our host Tomo and the staff really made us feel at home. With the help of a translation app, we were able to communicate without a problem. The private bath was great for our family to use. The property was on a hill so it would be a little too much to walk with luggages but otherwise totally walkable to the train station.

Great place to feel the traditional Japanese Onsen and hospitality. There is an onsen for women and you can shower in the locker room since you only have a toilet and sink in your room. The walk and stairs pass a beautiful river, but the steep stairs with luggage is not advised . Take a shuttle or cab if you want an easy walk. It’s 15 minutes uphill. The food is overwhelming, so don’t eat before arriving. Dinner and breakfast was way too much to eat, but everything was enjoyable and a great experience.
