Blue Hut Hotel

The Hotel was clean with good food and handy in that it has a bar and restaurant in the same premises, with Pool table and dancing floor. The staff could be a lot more customer friendly. I had booked on-line a standard double room. When I arrived the receptionist the standard double room is two single beds. And not a single double bed. We argued for over 20 minutes and would not change me to my request, unless I paid more. Not a good first impression to me. The instant over head shower heater is not very effective. So it was almost like washing with cold water. A shivering experience for myself coming from West Africa and not used to the chilly Nairobi weather. The restaurant staff were abrupt and showed little courtesy. Everyday, they had to refer to the reception to see if I was entitled to complimentary breakfast. I had to resort to breakfast in my room at an extra KSh100, to avoid this for one week. Even this, the breakfast was coming 30 minutes late. Just forcing me t9 rush for my other appointments.

8月、このホテルに泊まりました。周りは舗装もされていない道路、首都の中とは思えない異様な雰囲気、来てすぐに「ヤバイ」と感じました。部屋について買い出しにタクシーで外出し、その後部屋にもどると、部屋の窓ガラスが割られていて、荷物を全て奪われていました。ホテルの従業員の犯行か外部の者の犯行かわからないが、従業員特にオーナーは警察すら呼んでくれない。結局、某５星ホテルに行き、いろいろと助けてもらいました。このホテル、超危険です。安さだけに惹かれて申込み、自分は逆に非常に高くつきました。

Shower is too small and the water is cold for showering. Too many moquitos during the night. Staff do not understand simple requests. Too far away from any worth seeing or doing in the city. Food was terrible during breakfast. Would never again stay at this hotel.
