Shops, pubs & restaurants are just outside the hotel. The only issue was the noise at night due to the music coming from the pub until late. Staff are nice. Very close to Upper Barrakka where the saluting battery was located, also the ferry to Gozo. All buses are accessible going to different places like Sliema, Malta Airport, St Julians etc are 5mins to walk from the hotel.

Only some items were available from the menu every day. The music is loud- tv first page after you booked says there are some sound proof options- the music and karaoke sessions go on to at least 2 am- it’s fine if you come back after that or you can sleep with the music otherwise expect a less sleep night

The location of the hotel is on strait street which is this gorgeous part of Valletta but at the same time also the noisiest street with loud music playing until 2 am. We stayed on the first floor with balcony facing the street and the whole floor would vibrate from 7pm to 2 am nonstop. No amount of windows and doors help it. Everything else in the room was perfect but with no sleep on vacation it’s hard to enjoy yourself.

The property was fine and close to the centre of Valletta. However, I would not recommend it for anyone but the young who enjoy noisy bars and loud music from 7pm to 2am. The vibrations shook the walls of my room and my expected relaxing holiday was anything but. I am home now, trying to catch up on the missed sleep.

The room was located above a bar (oxygen bar)
With very loud speakers thumping till 2am.
We sent a text to the manager (i have a copy of it on my Expedia). They never responded!
Expedia couldn't get a hold of anyone either.
A asked the nice young lady working there if we could be at least moved to a higher room which she replied that they were booked. A solid terrible experience and sleepless nights. Just AWFUL.

I really enjoyed my 4 night stay here, beautiful room, great location, very helpful staff and a wonderful breakfast each day, I would certainly stay here again. Be aware that there is live music in the street outside every night from 9pm through till 12.30, which might not be to everyone's liking, especially if you like a early night.

Way too much noice at night because of a bar beneath the hotel. They play music so loud half of the night - it almost ruined the trip because we only slept a few hours. The hotel itself is really nice and awesome breakfast and very nice lady at breakfast. Stupid you only get one keycard

Only one star because it is located right over a bar that plays VERY LOUD music half of the night.
It was so difficult to sleep and kind of ruined the vacation.
The hotel itself is really nice - everything clean and big room and very nice breakfast.
So annoying self check in… takes forever and you only get one keycard even though you are two people…

While the hotel itself was clean, well located and the room comfortable enough there was a major problem with the sound coming up from the street below. The bar directly underneath had live music performers on each of the three nights we were there and the loud music did not subside until well after 1am. Even earplugs could not block out the sound.
I now understand why it's an automated check in as they don't really want a receptionist on hand to handle all of the undoubted complaints.
Not really recommended unless you're a total night owl.
