Riad Monika

Das Gefühl wie in 1001 Nacht findet man im Riad Monika vom Zimmer bis zum Poolbereich und auf der Dachterasse. Sehr liebevoll und bis ins kleinste Detail wurde hier wert auf eine traditionelle Atmosphäre gelegt, die einen in eine andere Welt entführt. Toll!

The hotel and service we received was excellent the manger made our stay memorable could not do enough for us. I would recommend this hotel .

This is such a wonderful place to stay! The riad is a beautiful building with lots of places to sit and relax - including wonderful roof terrace. The location is walking distance to everywhere in the medina area - but most of all such friendly helpful people! Mint tea and pastries on arrival, help to sort out balloon ride, get taxis, map to get around . I would definitely recommend this as a really special place to stay

Les lieux sont très agréables, bien décorés: belle ambiance orientale dans un Riad de qualité, d'une parfaite tranquillité. L'accueil est très personnalisé, et Zouhair met toute sa connaissance de la ville et de sa région, ainsi que toute sa disponibilité pour rendre votre séjour le plus agréable possible. Nous avons séjourné une semaine à Marrakech (fin février est une période idéale) et la situation de ce Riad dans la partie nord de la médina nous a parfaitement convenu.

My boyfriend & I booked this Riad for 5 days & while the Riad itself is really beautiful and the owner was very welcoming we did not have a good experience 1. WE WERE ROBBED BY AN EMPLOYEE OF THE RIAD! before we booked this Riad we had read a review about someone who stayed there & had something stolen from them but my boyfriend did not believe the review & thought it would be fine. (He was very wrong) On our last day at the Riad we had packed our bags & went downstairs for breakfast & in the 15-20 min. that we were eating, someone went into our room, went through our bags & stole hundreds of dollars worth of things. (none of the rooms have locks on them, so anyone can go into your room at any time) Looking back on the situation that morning, as we were walking downstairs for breakfast we saw the night manager almost hiding in the corner & we thought that was weird because in the five days that we had been there we had never seen him up there & we had never seen anyone up in that area. (The owner did reimburse us for the items that were stolen & he was very very nice and helpful about it, but it was something that should not have happened) 2. It is located down a small alley, too small for taxis so you have to walk from the main road. The last few nights we were harassed by a few men, it was scary, they were yelling & threatening us. The Riad does give you a key if you come back late at night which was nice but just be cautious

Great authentic property, full of charm and history. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Location convenient for exploting the winding streets of the city and we felt very safe doing so. Don't miss spending some time on the terrace, it is large and very comfortable to sunbathe or tske some quiet time out. Whilst they don't serve drinks they are happy to store beers etc in their fridge. Breakfast is generous in size and whilst the same every day stocks up the energy levels for the day ahead. Indoor pool looked nice although too cold for us to try and more likely of use in the really hot months. Decent restaurants near by for dinner options. Msin tip would be try to source a detailed map to try and minimise time getting lost!

Wir würden nachts sehr herzlich begrüßt und uns wurde das Riad noch gezeigt. Am nächsten Morgen gab es ein sehr lecker Frühstück. Es war jetzt nicht Übermaß aber man wurde mehr wie satt und absolut ausreichend. Der Besitzer hatte uns noch mit einer Karte ausgestattet und uns die wichtigsten Regeln für das "Leben auf der Straße" ausgestattet. Welche man sich wirklich zu Herzen nehmen sollte. Das hotel war sehr schön und sauber. Wenn wir wieder nach Marrakesch kommen wird es unsere erste e Wahl. Die Lage ist perfekt und man erreicht alles Fußläufig. Vielen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis

It was a nice stay but felt a little off with naked paintings in room. Weird feel to the place. Staff was very polite and nice. However, we did lose a few hundred here from the safe in the rooms that only had a key to the safe without a code.

Unieke setting, rustgevende plek om te bekomen van de hectische stad. Zouhair is de perfecte gastheer, ontzettend bescheiden en vriendelijk. Een aanrader!

Considering the location, right in the Medina and around a 3-5 minute walk from the souks, the Riad is a surprising little oasis in the middle. I loved the tranquility and appearance of the two courtyards in the middle and the pool was delightful (if pretty cold), as it definitely worked to cool us down in the heat of the day. The bedrooms were also tastefully decorated and unique, each in their own Moroccan styling- even the ceilings are beautifully painted (a classic Moroccan feature). Lastly, the terraces above are peaceful, sun-soaked, and full of plenty of seating areas, and wiling away some hours in the day, up there, was very relaxing, indeed. The best things about Riad Monika, however, are the wonderfully attentive Zouhair and Khalid. These two really helped to make it feel like home, and no request felt too much of an ask. I must add that, at one point, I lost my phone in the back seat of a driver’s van, and we had no idea how to get it back- but thanks to Zouhair, I had my phone back within 1.5 hours! He is the kindest, most decent, and honestly hard-working person, and it was a pleasure to meet him! I really loved this Riad, and I would definitely return because of how comfortable and homely it feels.

I recently stayed at Riad Monika with my boyfriend. We loved the riad - it is beautifully kept and feels like an intimate oasis within the hustle and bustle of the medina. The staff were so kind and friendly. The manager of the riad helped us navigate the medina and was there if we needed anything throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The Riad Monika is unequivocally one of the most architecturally charming homes I have ever seen. There is so much appeal that it is impossible to take in everything. We swam in the pool which sits in the middle of the building. We lounged on the rooftop, which has multiple comfortable sitting areas and ate a delicious breakfast there one morning. It was truly romantic. The bathroom was grand and completely unexpected. And to top it all off, the service was immaculate. We were welcomed with delicious mint tea and cookies. While we were swimming one day, our host Zouhair was so kind as to magically appear with freshly squeezed orange juice for us. Our hosts (Zuhair & Khalid) made sure we became familiar with the medina, made restaurant recommendations, and even offered to walk with us one morning. I only wish I had stayed longer and will definitely consider this place when I return to Marrakesh.

Excellent experience. Superb service and accommodations. Great place to stay for a quintessential Moroccan experience inside the Médina.

Beautiful riad, located a short walk from the souk and main square. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend. The only point to note is it's difficult to access by car due to the narrow lanes. Closest access point by car is just under 10 mins walk.
