Etusis Lodge

We stayed here for two nights and we absolutely loved it. Most memorable are the hosts, friendly animals including the meerkat and amazing service. Lodge is in a beautiful setting with lots of hikes, nature and wildlife. Food is simple and homely, we loved eating together with the other guests and the host. Highly recommend - a great place to recharge.

Super schöne Unterkunft Sehr abgelegen und ruhig. Tolle Zimmer, sehr nette Betreiber. Schöner Pool. Tolles Abendessen.

Sehr schöne Erfahrung. Sehr bemühte Gastgeber. Mit den Pferden und den beiden blonden Volunteers erinnerte die Lodge an Immenhof. Das Abendessen ist solide, wenn auch nicht aufregend, das Frühstück sehr gut. Faire Getränkepreise. Bei der Zimmerreinigung ist noch Luft nach oben. Wir empfehlen für die Anfahrt einen SUV. Über 30 km ungeteerter Straße ist mit einem normalen PKW etwas mühsam.

Staff is super friendly and responsive. Definitely feels like a family environment. Facilities are a bit run down, and setting is ok but not great relative to some of the other lodges we stayed in.

Absolutely amazing stay at Etusis. The Lodge is very off the beaten track and you'd be forgiven for thinking you've taken a wrong turn. But if you carry on to reach the Lodge then you'll be rewarded with beautiful scenery, friendly and welcoming hosts, amazing food, beautiful facilities and some of the best star gazing in the world. Cannot recommend enough for those wanting to escape hustle and bustle and relax in comfort.

Sehr schöner Ausritt mit den Pferden morgens, auch für Anfänger geeignet. Wir hatten eine 1 zu 1 Betreuung deswegen war es auch ohne Reiterfahrung ein tolles Erlebnis. Die Unterkunft hat rustikalen Charme. Das Abendessen und Frühstück war ganz ok. Die Anfahrt war ein wenig holprig, aber das ist auf vielen Straßen in Namibia so. Die Zimmer waren sauber.

I really enjoy staying at a place that is warm and welcoming. Etusis was exactly that! I like the fact that it is remote and far from town and also the dirt road drive to the lodge is fantastic! You actually drive between wildlife 👍👍👍 And also don’t forget the great view in the morning or nightfall... Great job guys, I will surely see you guys again!

Wir waren im Oktober 2018 für eine Nacht in der Etusis Lodge. Die Lodge ist wunderschön, die Gastgeber herzlich, das Essen super und die Umgebung Entschleunigung pur. Schon die Anfahrt ist die Reise wert: zuerst über eine Schotterpiste, dann nochmals 18 km über einen schmalen, gepflegten Farmpad bis zur Farm, immer den beeindruckenden Bergen entgegen, ein Traum. Wir werden wieder kommen, dann aber für mindestens 3 Tagen! Gernot und Marianne Beinbrech

Great location. Relaxing and hospitable atmosphere.

Auf dem Weg von der Etosha Pfanne nach Swakopmund war die Etusis - Lodge ein willkommener Unterbruch. Abseits der Strasse in einer schönen Umgebung gelegen, bot sich diese für die eine Übernachtung an. Schade, dass ich nicht mehr Zeit hatte, gerne hätte ich noch die eine oder andere Ausfahrt mitgemacht. In der Gegend gibt es Mountain-Zebra, welche ich auf meiner Reise noch nicht sah. Das nächste Mal werde ich definitiv mehr Zeit einplanen. Das Essen wird gemeinsam eingenommen, das garantiert für interessante Gespräche mit den Hosts und den anderen Reisenden.
