I stayed at Clink for about a week and as a solo female traveler I felt very safe. The Noord area i would say is very family oriented, lots of parks, and the vibes are really cool. The beds were surprisingly very comfy and i would say the only bad thing about my room was the fact that the beds didn’t have curtains, but after a day or two i didn’t mind it at all. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and always happy to help. They have laundry facilities and it’s about 5 euros for a wash and 3 for a dry and the machines work great.

A well-established hostel with a friendly, welcoming vibe. As a solo traveller, I appreciated the option of a female-only dorm. Any extras beyond bedding come at added cost—can’t remember if this is common among hostels in general, as I haven’t stayed at one in over 10yrs; but it’s worth knowing to budget accordingly. The bed was comfortable and the blanket was the perfect thickness and weight. My room locker was spacious enough to hold my carry-on-sized suitcase, my standard-size backpack, and my lunch bag. The hostel is located close to Centraal Station; check-in and check-out was efficient, with staff close by to answer questions as needed.

Clean hostel with normal amenities, but it was very expensive compared to other hostels I’ve been to. Yes, Amsterdam is generally more expensive, but for the price I’d expect better. One example: in the dorms, beds do not even have privacy curtains nor a headboard and you have to pay extra for a bottom bunk.

Zimmer war sauber. Das Bett leider sehr durchgelegen. Beim Duschen wurde das Bad sehr nass weil es keine richtige Abtrennung gab. Man bekam nur 1 (großes) Handtuch pro Person für 4 Nächte. Das Zimmer war sehr hellhörig.

Lovely hostel in a quiter part of Amsterdam, yet a quick ferry ride away from city center. I stayed in a private twin room with a friend, and it was perfect for us. Staff was very kind and helpful. Clean room and comfortable beds. Perfect for our trip!

The Wi-Fi was very unstable and unreliable. I stayed in a private room with a bathroom, which was extremely stuffy. The window wouldn't open, there was no air conditioning, and the ventilation system didn't work properly (it seems like it doesn't work at all). I mentioned this to someone at reception, who said the ventilation system would work "gradually"... it didn't during the three days I was there. I tried to get a bucket of ice, but the bartender wanted to know what I needed ice for... I went to the supermarket to buy some. In short: very poor accommodation, very expensive for what it offers, and where people treat you with a kindergarten vibe.
