Staff were extremely helpful. Particularly when i arrived with no luggage. Breakfast was great howeber it was not free. More food diversity would be good. Overall a truly wonderful, convenient and comfortable stay for my husband and I.

Alles sehr sauber, zentrale Lage nahe Bahnhof, kurzer Weg in die Innenstadt. Supermärkte gleich um die Ecke. Bett viel zu weich oder gar durchgelegen.

Zeer kleine kamer en erg sober en saai ingericht. Enigszins gedateerd wel heel schoon.

Hotel close to train station. Asked to have a hour later check out as advertised as an ibis member benefit and told not possible, I didn’t receive any other additional benefit either. Staff unhelpful and not particularly interested.

A very central location, right next to the main train station and just a few minutes walking from the old town center, and thus close to shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Check in went smooth, instructions for car parking were clear and I had the most amazing room, right on the top floor with a good view on all the train traffic. The room was clean (even though I arrived right after Leiden's celebration day, 3 October), everything worked as intended and I had a good stay.

Good breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Despite near the train and main bus terminal, the rooms are v quiet and comfortable. Reception staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s a clean and adequate accommodation for a short stay and i would recommend t.

Very smooth check in and friendly staff. Egla was extremely polite and helpful for anything I needed and made sure I was well looked after, answering my questions before I even had them! Definitely will stay here again in Leiden!

Everything was amazing, central place, near by many places. The lobby personal very helpful. Just the perfect hotel.

This IBIS met expectations. I requested and was given a room with a view of the train station to watch the trains and the commuters. The view is a very lively show of frequent trains coming and going, and the room was quiet – noise was not a problem. There were enough electrical outlets to charge two iPhones at night and the WiFi was fine. Breakfast was satisfactory. The water is fine for drinking or filling your water bottle. The rooms are large (for an IBIS) and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The bed covering was a heavy comforter, without a top sheet, which is is very common now. A top sheet on the bed would be nice, because sometimes the comforter gets too hot at night.

Im Grunde alles in Ordnung, Bett ein bisschen durchgelegen, aber noch okay, Zimmer könnte etwas geräumiger sein, aber für eine Person geht es. Zimmer zum Hof trotz offenerm Fenster und Lieferverkehr sehr ruhig. Negativ: Trotz online Check In, nach dem man angeblich sofort seinen Schlüssel bekommen sollte, hat der Check In unverhältnismäßig lange gedauert. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, aber offensichtlich war der Check-In schlecht vorbereitet.

In a longer review for a second recent stay, I shared at some length many positives of this property in terms of convenient location for either Leiden exploration or travel (train or bus), proximity of some practical necessities, friendly staff, plentiful & varied breakfast options, presence of an in-room kettle for tea/coffee prep, and good use of space in the room. But, I forgot to add one key plus for summer travel and one that I particularly appreciated on a multi-day stay in August - the HVAC system (one of those individual sorts that's mounted high on the wall) is both quiet & effective. That made all the difference in terms of good rest in the evening.

Great location for either exploring Leiden itself (at north end of the city) or using it as a home base for other journeys (train station & bus connections a very short walk); there are also some nearby food stores & a drug store/chemists for shopping needs; not a super-picturesque setting but very practical and with enough people about (and security features at the hotel) to feel safe. And, given the proximity to the train & busses, it's remarkably quiet. I've also found the staff to be very friendly & accommodating. Based on a prior stay I opted (solo traveler) for a room with a double bed and that included breakfast (varied & plentiful options); that gave me a bit more space in the room, while still being reasonably cost-effective. Efficient use of space, with some closet & open shelving, as well as a desk-like area and the all-important (for some of us anyway) kettle for boiling water for tea or coffee. Some signs of wear relative to a visit several years ago, but all was clean, comfortable, and functional - I can live with a scratch on the woodwork here & there. Only small disappointment was that some UK-associated TV stations present when one scrolled through the options, and that worked in a late July visit, were non-functional come August.
