Good average stay, property is old but clean

I liked everthing about the property. The room and bathroom were both excellent, the open fire in the lounge was great, I loved everything about the property and the cost of stay was appropriate.

An amazing hotel, clean and tidy.

Clean and comfortable but getting tired. Room was dark, needed more lighting particularly when trying to work at the desk. Secure, dry parking. Easy walk into the CBD where you will find lots of eating places and entertainment.

We enjoyed our time at Coachman. Will definitely return.

Very friendly and efficent staff, both at checkin and check out. Recently renovated room, very comfortable and quiet, nicely furnished. The only negatives I had were very minor. The spa pool was still being renovated and was closed. I slso prefer the Sky channels to the free ones in NZ, which wern't offered. The TV set however was fairly large and modern and logging on to streaming apps or chromecast with my credentials was very easy and that is what I did. Long story short, nice motel and very happy to recommend.

The only bathroom csme off the king bedroom. So had person from lounge having to come through room to use the toilet. No soap dish

The room was large , but a single bedside light in main bedroom , Shower was in a spa tub with slippery floor and access without hand holds . Noisy on Friday night and reception on arrival seem to be putout by our arrival ( 939pm ) . No hairdryer in room , which was remedied by staff . Bathroom had a single dressing gown , and no extraction fan .clean tidy functional but not luxurious

Clean & tidy. Staff were courteous and helpful when I rang to request a foldaway bed as an extra for the room. Check in / Check out was fast and easy. Hotel was a good walkable distance to Esplanade Park, supermarket & Plaza mall. No update on webite/booking sites to indicate spa pool not available & swimming pool water was very milky & cloudy. You would not see a child at the bottom of the pool in that water. The water definitely needs attention, and we would have enjoyed swimming in a clean & clear water pool. Noticed there were no signs indicating the depth of the pool and the area is visible to anyone attending an appointment at the hairdressers which backs onto the pool area. Buffet breakfast was not an option, so we had to order our cooked food ... still paid the buffet price which was disappointing. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

The room size was nice, but extremely out dated, bathroom smelt of mould, mould on celling and broken tiles in bathroom. When I arrived I asked to be moved because the room we were fist put in smelt so of mould I couldn’t imagine letting my young children sleep there without getting sick if I had more time to re book elsewhere and Christmas being so close there would have been no way I would have stayed there. Staff did move us thankfully. Personally won’t ever stay there again or would recommend. Actually very displeasing. I came to view the room about 3 months ago and was told by staff the room was being renovated, and couldn’t view. I told the staff members if I knew the state of the rooms there would be no way I would have booked to stay here in the first place. I called a week before my check in and was told we would be placed in a newly renovated room. However we went. Bad communication from your part. Like I said if we didn’t feel the pressure of Christmas and being worried we wouldn’t find a place with two kids I would have insisted on my money back.
