The views from the Poppy Flower lodge were amazing and it was a beautifully clean room. Ines was super friendly accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely beautiful space, gorgeous view, amazing breakfast. Beautiful hosts.

The good: the view, the location, the small garden and room position (we were in Poppy Flower) The average: breakfast was good but a little unusual loading up a tray and taking back to room, room facilities were average and feeling worn and tired. No welcome or interaction from the owners or staff and no nice extra touches, strange for a B&B The poor: mice or rats in the ceiling and walls were noisy through the night and kept us awake for most of the night (reported to the owner), windows are old, wind comes straight through them making the roller blinds noisy at night, double glazing glass is fogged which impacts the view! Overall, we were very disappointed for the price paid. Our NZ trip had 18 different stays (some twice this price, some less than half), this stay was the one the fell well short of our expectations and hence we felt it was too expensive all things considered, the view being the only saving feature.

A really place to stay - felt welcome, relaxed and chilled to be for a couple of days. Room had a beautiful sea view and was well equipped (a few problems with the power to the fridge and was on hand. Breakfast was a lovely simple help yourself continental to take back to your room / perfect !

The view from our room was spectacular! The room was spacious with a balcony looking over the bay. We loved it and would definitely stay again.

Great view from our ocean-facing room. It was a cool night and they eqipped the room with an electric heater, so it was cozy. Breakfast provided several options for a continental service with tea and coffee in the room.

No instructions prior to check-in, finally found a note on the door to advise which room we were assigned (key in the room door) and assigned parking spot. Breakfast was cafeteria trays in the kitchen - not sure if we were supposed to take these back to our room to eat?? Too cold and windy to sit outside. We left and went into town for breakfast. Great views, room nicely appointed, but you have to drive everywhere. It was not a very “friendly” experience at all!

Amazing property, everything you need just a short walk from the train station. Superb help yourself breakfast.

Staff were super nice, view was incredible and room was nice and clean! Cannot recommend enough!

No problems at all. Room was ready with the key in it. The view of the ocean and snow capped mountains was what we saw in bed when we woke up. Convenient to everything in tow and the area. You can’t go wrong trust me
