Costa Palawan Resort

The restarant staff should be fired. They do not listen to what you ask for. The seafood chowder consisted of big lumps of flour/butter which I first thought was fish. Discusting. The staff did not appoligy. The soup was what it was in their mind. Then I spesificly asked for three fresh juises WITHOUT ICE. I had just spent 3 days in hospital caused by bad water. Within 15 minutes, i got 3 out of 4 fresh juices with ice. The general manager or owner?, was very sorry about it all and went to great lengths to make the rest of my stay great. I got free minivan whereever i needed to go, one hour free wonderful massage, free foodplatter to my room and not to mention Angel at the front desk, went to the airport for 3 hours to change some airlinetickets for me🤗 The rooms are lage and comfie. The shower lacks waterpressure. The pool is nice and hot like a sauna. Good hotel, with potential to become better😎

This is a very affordable and clean place to enjoy the beautiful views and relaxing environment. A must for all travellers to Palawan.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pools(2) are large, however there aren’t enough loungers to accommodate all the pool guests. The grounds are lovely and well kept, however there is no sandy beach as implied by the advertisement. The swamp like ocean borders the front of the property, there is no hope of swimming there. Breakfast is very limited in both food and dishes/utensils. Every morning I was searching for coffee cups, glasses and utensils while 4-6 staff stood in the kitchen area talking. Often the one and only fruit option was empty. I would have to request for fruit to be replenished . The drinking water dispensers on my floor were often empty. The property is isolated, there is not much to do in the area.

Overall a well run hotel. Staff was excellent, a good restaurant on-site, and beautiful spacious rooms.

Wonderful buildings and facilities and furnishings. They have a seawall to keep the ocean out so at high tide there is no beach. It is not a one stop destination, at least for me. Staff is more than helpful! Was surprised that there was a charge for a bucket of ice. It served my purpose, close to airport for an early departure.

It’s a resort, by the beach and well secluded. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious. They provide airport transfer service and the airport is close.

Excellent staffs, super friendly & helpful!

Stayed there with family for 3 nights. Staff werr accomodating & friendly. However, there were some things that could be improved. Toothbrush provided was very hard. Feels more like brush for cleaning the toilet rather than for teeth. If you're staying here, my advice is to bring your own toothbrush. There were stains on the walls, most likely from previous room users. The place could do a renovation.

We were treated like a VIP, staff were courteous, smiling and very professional particularly Front Desk person named Arlene or Erlene?. Very friendly staff Since this property is away from the rest of the hotels, Or restaurants there’s only one choice of restaurant- food was great but if you eat late most ingredients are gone. I’ll still recommend the property

The hotel offer airport shuttle which is great. Front desk are courteous and helpful to inquiries. The room bathroom and toiletries needs better offering. Towels given daily were not consistent. One key card given and extra card will cost you 500 pesos deposit. I agree with others that the restaurant food and tasting lacks flavor. We were there for a whole week and breakfast buffet is almost same and not very tasty. Also I honestly don’t know why most staff in the restaurant loves to chat and flirt/tease each other around hotel guest to hear rather than focusing on their job or keeping it professional. We decided to eat out after breakfast. The hotel resort overall was great and very clean, we lived the beach views and to walk around after breakfast. Another thing that employees needs training is to consistently greet the hotel guess whenever we walk by them, There were some who says hi and then some awkwardly stare at you or walk pass you without saying anything, again we were there for an entire week. In Manila we stayed for 5 days, every employee there stood and greet the guests whenever we walk by them. The new lifeguard was great btw. He’s been there for a month and used to work for Red Cross I think. He’s very knowledgeable and even assisted us during low tide when my young son wanted some shells. He made our hotel experience better! The beach area and pool is great for kids to enjoy, Massage hut by the beach needs better cleaning but the massage itself was great.

On the shore and great views and able to kayak around right off the beach. Massages on the beach. Service was great overall. Rooms were nice and s lot of space.

Bad start to stay when power would not turn on in room with entry card. Reception staff refused to believe it was faulty instead insisting we were not inserting card correctly. Eventually maintenance person sent who needed to rewire the power. Would have been nice if reception had taken our concerns seriously when first mentioned. Room was also full of mosquitos as a door had not been closed - reception ignored our concern. Remainder of stay when not having to interact with reception staff was excellent.

The staff were very friendly, but they do not display the level of service in the restaurant we are accustomed to. For example, they did not clear away dirty dishes during meals & never asked if we wanted anything else. The buffets had limited options & empty dishes were not filled again.

Hotel was dire. Room cleanliness appalling. Smelly fridge not cleaned in years. Linen dirty. Food - tuna sandwich without tuna. Tv without remote control. Issues brought up with reception AND hotels.com poorly addressed. Shower required a dancing act to get wet. On returning home. Chat with Hotels.com left everything to be desired. Request for complaints email was met with we don’t do that. So this review is now about both hotels.com and the hotel. Both a disaster. Request for chat transcript promised but not received.
