It was great to have a washing machine. Didn’t notice that the dryer was out the door and in its own room until I’d already dried everything by hanging it around the apartment. Oops!

Overall, a great lodging in the heart of a quaint community. It was just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and a grocery. (BTW, if you arrive late, like we did shortly after 8, either quickly make to a restaurant–most close their kitchens by 8:30–or do what we did, go down the street toward the grocery near the water's edge and pick up things you can cook). Like all the B&Bs in UK that we stopped at, the fridge is not stocked so you will have to stock it yourself and then probably dump or leave behind what you don't use up. I was disappointed that they only had three forks between the four of us. I hope that they will add more of those in the future, but that was a minor inconvenience, really. It was great that they had a communal clothes dryer in the middle bottom floor of the the apartments. That was not something we found at most UK B&Bs, where you had to use a drying horse or find a line outside to hang your clothes. Oh, one more word of advice: PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR REQUEST THAT YOU NOTIFY THEM AT LEAST 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF COMING. After you notify them they will email or text you instruction but it takes them a while to get to their messages. We read of others who were frustrated they couldn't get a hold of them to retrieve a key to get in but I really think those guests missed the request to notify them at least 72 hours beforehand. If you do that I think you will really enjoy your stay there. But if you're staying in Flat 3 the lock box code is... OK, JK

Stay was fine but there was some hiccups for my check in as the accommodation did not send me any instructions or access code to enter the property prior to my arrival. Also there is NO 24/7 Front Desk as stated in Hotel.com posting of the property. I also had a hard time contacting the primary contact for the apartment I rented as the phone always went to a voice mail. Was stuck outside for a good half an hour to an hour or so in freezing evening. Finally managed to get hold of a secondary contact person who provided me with the access code to the lockbox. It could be partially my fault as I didn't email the property at least 3 days in advanced to arrange for my check in as stated in the Special Instructions in Hotel.com. However, most other accommodations will usually send communication in advance prior to guest arrival with instructions to access the property. Hope this will improve in the future.

The apartment was great. It was well equipped and it had a nice location, at walking distance from stores and restaurants. We were very happy with it BUT the check-in process was terrible. I sent various messages requesting the check-in details before arrival day (code for the key or any instructions) and they never responded. The ad mentioned that personal was in the property for arrivals too but nobody was there, only one person painting the building who was so nice and helped us call the owner of the apartments next to it (the owner of our apartment did not respond and also had a different number than the one in Expedia) and managed to get us the code for the key. Terrible check-in experience. We were very worried we were going to left with no accommodation. If it was not for that man we would be.

DO NOT STAY HERE. They falsely advertise there is a 24 hour front desk—NO—it is an apartment and isolated with no manager anywhere or anyone to help you. No one will return your phone call, text or email. The shower is burning hot or freezing cold. When I called to ask for help—no one for two days ever replied. When I complained to Expedia they said the apartment owner replied, “The shower gets hot” and showed a picture of steam. No joke. It is SO HOT OR SO FREEZING that you cannot use it. Four people, no shower the entire time. Try helping your child not to get a scalding burn or freezing water as the extreme temperature alternates every few seconds without warning. I’m shocked that they state they have a 24/7 front desk. There is no desk. No one returns calls. They didn’t even give me the check in info until I was standing in the rain waiting for them. I finally went to a neighbor there and was able to get a number that works. I seldom complain but I am warning anyone who reads this: you will be sad if you stay here and no one will show up for you—not even Expedia. Very disappointed.

Cosy apartment with lovely view and off street parking one street behind the main square, but surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the action. Clean and had all we needed. Would benefit from bigger wine glasses and more towels but laundry facilities were available which is great after a day on the hills getting muddy. Would stay again.

This was a simple apartment, with a nice view of Portree. The rooms and kitchen were furnished well but the bathroom fixtures were on the low-end and the mattresses could use an upgrade. Regardless, my friends and I had a lovely stay and would return to this apartment because of its great location.

Appartement très fonctionnel. De quoi prendre un petit déjeuner est fourni. Bien décoré et équipé. Bien situé pour aller dans Portree manger ou faire des courses (supermarché en contre bas de l'appartement).

It was great to have a washing machine. Didn’t notice that the dryer was out the door and in its own room until I’d already dried everything by hanging it around the apartment. Oops!

Overall, a great lodging in the heart of a quaint community. It was just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and a grocery. (BTW, if you arrive late, like we did shortly after 8, either quickly make to a restaurant–most close their kitchens by 8:30–or do what we did, go down the street toward the grocery near the water's edge and pick up things you can cook). Like all the B&Bs in UK that we stopped at, the fridge is not stocked so you will have to stock it yourself and then probably dump or leave behind what you don't use up. I was disappointed that they only had three forks between the four of us. I hope that they will add more of those in the future, but that was a minor inconvenience, really. It was great that they had a communal clothes dryer in the middle bottom floor of the the apartments. That was not something we found at most UK B&Bs, where you had to use a drying horse or find a line outside to hang your clothes. Oh, one more word of advice: PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR REQUEST THAT YOU NOTIFY THEM AT LEAST 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF COMING. After you notify them they will email or text you instruction but it takes them a while to get to their messages. We read of others who were frustrated they couldn't get a hold of them to retrieve a key to get in but I really think those guests missed the request to notify them at least 72 hours beforehand. If you do that I think you will really enjoy your stay there. But if you're staying in Flat 3 the lock box code is... OK, JK

Stay was fine but there was some hiccups for my check in as the accommodation did not send me any instructions or access code to enter the property prior to my arrival. Also there is NO 24/7 Front Desk as stated in Hotel.com posting of the property. I also had a hard time contacting the primary contact for the apartment I rented as the phone always went to a voice mail. Was stuck outside for a good half an hour to an hour or so in freezing evening. Finally managed to get hold of a secondary contact person who provided me with the access code to the lockbox. It could be partially my fault as I didn't email the property at least 3 days in advanced to arrange for my check in as stated in the Special Instructions in Hotel.com. However, most other accommodations will usually send communication in advance prior to guest arrival with instructions to access the property. Hope this will improve in the future.

The apartment was great. It was well equipped and it had a nice location, at walking distance from stores and restaurants. We were very happy with it BUT the check-in process was terrible. I sent various messages requesting the check-in details before arrival day (code for the key or any instructions) and they never responded. The ad mentioned that personal was in the property for arrivals too but nobody was there, only one person painting the building who was so nice and helped us call the owner of the apartments next to it (the owner of our apartment did not respond and also had a different number than the one in Expedia) and managed to get us the code for the key. Terrible check-in experience. We were very worried we were going to left with no accommodation. If it was not for that man we would be.

DO NOT STAY HERE. They falsely advertise there is a 24 hour front desk—NO—it is an apartment and isolated with no manager anywhere or anyone to help you. No one will return your phone call, text or email. The shower is burning hot or freezing cold. When I called to ask for help—no one for two days ever replied. When I complained to Expedia they said the apartment owner replied, “The shower gets hot” and showed a picture of steam. No joke. It is SO HOT OR SO FREEZING that you cannot use it. Four people, no shower the entire time. Try helping your child not to get a scalding burn or freezing water as the extreme temperature alternates every few seconds without warning. I’m shocked that they state they have a 24/7 front desk. There is no desk. No one returns calls. They didn’t even give me the check in info until I was standing in the rain waiting for them. I finally went to a neighbor there and was able to get a number that works. I seldom complain but I am warning anyone who reads this: you will be sad if you stay here and no one will show up for you—not even Expedia. Very disappointed.
