Good place to stay during the Fringe. No frills, but friendly and comfortable.

O tamanho do quarto é bem agradável para uma pessoa, talvez no verão seja muito quente, só tem ventiladores para emprestar na recepção. O quarto estava limpo, exceto uns pontinhos de mofo no banheiro, nada que me incomodasse muito. A cozinha é coletiva, então a limpeza depende da colaboração dos hóspedes,mas é legal ter microondas e geladeira a disposição. A localização conta com muita coisa ao redor, pubs, mercados, vendas locais interessantes e foge um pouco do agito do centro (fui em agosto quando a cidade estava cheia). Acesso fácil de ônibus e tram. Equipe da recepção bem disponível.

Excellent stay and would stay there again!

Köket var dåligt utrustat. Stekpannan var så ojämn att den inte gick att få varm på grund av för lite kontakt med plattan. Gardinen släppte in för mycket ljus på sidorna.

Good location at a reasonable price for Edinburgh. One can walk to the old town or has plenty of options for public transport. Bed is very small for 2 though so be aware ! Very friendly staff. Recommended for a short stay.

Das Angebot im Studi-Wohnheim unterzukommen während des Fringe-Festivals war super. Tolle Organisation, praktische Unterkunft. Einzig der ungewöhnlich gute Sommer hat uns die Nächte etwas gestört. Es war zu warm im 3. Stock :)

Pretty basic. Stayed for 8 days and room never cleaned and towels never freshened. I know it's not a hotel, but it seems like if you're staying this long, room could use a cleaning and towels refreshed at least once. Also, I lost my room key (electronic card) and was charged the equivalent of $34!!!! That seems truly excessive!

The check in was super smooth with 24 hour reception service available. They have luggage storage available in case you leave for a tour, check out early and have no place left for your heavy bags. They charge a reasonable fee of 5£ per bag for a whole day. The staff was lovely, helpful with the super early checkout and late night check ins. What I think they could improve was the cleaning of carpets in the rooms. They were a bit filthy with mud stains

Most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Area around the hotel was really noisy. Room was really hot with no fan or AC to help. Staff were good at check-in.

We had a studio apartment for 5 nights. We read up on the available information beforehand and we were well aware of the low standards so I am in no way disappointed that the apartment was exactly as advertised. We booked a stay here since we thought we could save some money and you are probably thinking of staying here for exactly the same reason. I must emphasise: Be aware that the low standards of this place are in fact just as low as advertised. This is a cheap alternative, but it is not a place to get a good rest at the end of the day when on holiday, this is basically a room to exist in. The biggest problem with the room is that it is insanely hot, there is no ventilation, no AC and no way of opening the windows enough to get some air in. I repeat, the room is insanely hot around the clock with no way of cooling it down. The bed is like sleeping on a hard brick, the door is made of paper so you can hear everything from the corridor around the clock and the windows are not soundproofed in any way so you can hear seagulls all day. Now these things would not be so bad if at least the room was not so hot, but all these things together (although exactly as advertised) does not allow you to get a good rest. The service was great and there is full transparency regarding the standard, just be aware that the money you save by staying here you do pay for with lost sleep.

Good but can be better

Tram Haltestelle und Bäckerei fast vor der Tür. Für einen Städtetrip, in welchem man eh nicht viel im Hotel ist, perfekt. Für schottische Verhältnisse vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top. Würde ich wieder buchen!
