Holiday Inn Express GLASGOW AIRPORT by IHG, an IHG Hotel

I booked one night at Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Airport for 2 adults and 2 older children at a cost of £165 (with discount code). The room provided was nowhere near big enough to comfortably accommodate us all. The fold down sofa bed left a very small space between the end of the bed and the wall, making it difficult to pass. Because the bed took up most of the available floor space, there was nowhere to put our 4 cases. The mattress on the sofa bed desperately needed replacing, as the sleep was extremely uncomfortable, and every spring could be felt. The room was not adequately soundproofed, with loud music coming from an adjacent room keeping us awake, not ideal when we had to get up for an early morning flight. Two USB ports were not operational, not great with 2 kids wanting to charge devices. The evening food menu was limited and extremely overpriced, so we ate at a nearby hotel instead. Overall, the room provided was very poor value for money. I do not recommend and will never book this hotel again.

Great property right next to the airport. The friendly staff, cafe and bar were perfect for a busy day of traveling.

5 min walk to airport. Great location.

Arrived from airport after a very late night delayed flight with 2 under 10 year olds. Welcomed by reception staff member, easy instructions to room, and very welcome clean room and comfortable beds were just what we needed. Bathroom was spotless, lovely shower with shampoo and body wash available. Breakfast was basic but everything we needed and very tasty. A very pleasant stay.

It was a very good location walking distance from the Glasgow airport. Staff were very nice. Room was very small but fine by Europe standards. Everything was very good with no complaints.

The hotel is within a seven or eight minute walk of the airport. It was easy to find of course, and we chose it after having booked the other Holiday Inn and comparing the ratings. We chose to move this one. Breakfast was OK similar and quality what you might find on an airplane. But not bad. Just acceptable. The staff were excellent. Our check-in was quick and efficient. We arrived quite early and we were able to leave our bags at reception while we explored Glasgow. Amusingly one of the finest parts of our room where the blackout curtains. It is very light in Scotland this time of year and it was an especially sunny day. When we woke up this morning, the room was pitch black the minute we opened the curtains. It was like the second coming of Christ! I wish I had curtains that worked that well at home. We highly recommend the Holiday Inn express. It couldn’t be more convenient. And if you’re dropping off a rental car, the hotel is a slow five minute walk from the rental counter, so you really can’t go wrong.

Excellent place to spend the night before an early flight. Very clean and comfortable, staff very friendly.

This property has a restaurant and bar. It serves a free delicious breakfast. It is within walking distance to the airport and most of it is under a covered walkway. It only took us about 5 minutes to walk to the airport with all of our luggage. It is a bit dated but all in all I would recommend it.

This hotel is very convenient to the Glasgow airport terminal. We liked that there was a dinner menu available so we could eat when we arrived and a buffet breakfast before we headed to the airport in the morning.

Have stayed in this hotel many times over the years, very helpful and polite staff, always very happy to assist. Room was comfortable and suitable size for a quick 1 night stay. Quiet enough considering proximity to the airport. Good amenities and the free breakfast is a great addition.

Uns hat das Hotel für einen Kurzaufenthalt sehr gut gefallen. Sauber, freundliches Personal, schneller, regelmäßiger Busverkehr in das Stadtzentrum. Unser Zimmer war trotz Lage zur M 8 sehr leise. Es gibt ein gutes englisches Frühstück. Gut: Für Hotelgäste kostet das Parken am Hotel 10£.

It was an excellent location for our short stay in Glasgow- few steps away from the airport. It had all the amenities we needed and the breakfast was great. I would recommend this to my family and friends.

Spacious room, comfortable beds, choice of pillows. Blackout curtains covered a large window. Full breakfast buffet, plus lunch and dinner. Helpful staff.

If you need a convenient stay before an early flight, you can't beat this place for location - but also has a great restaurant and funky mid-century modern inspired rooms.
