The hotel is close to the Royal Mile - great! Close to dining options. The live music Wednesday was nice. It was a bit tricky to get to our room on the 4th floor and a long way with our luggage. The staff was nice.

This place is slowly falling apart. The room had a bath fan that did not work, the sink was totally clogged up, the bathroom door looked like it’s falling to pieces…and the room cleaning was a joke ( forgot to clean one day, forgot to take the garbage another day) . if anybody questions my post…I have pics.! Sad…

Great location easy walking distance to most places you want to visit in Edinburgh, staff were great, bar and breakfast are nice as well. Room was clean and shower was a good size.

Great staff, great location…love to know their secret for making up the bed in a way that the sheets never got untucked…😂

Relatively basic, but comfortable, hotel, although with a peculiar bathroom set-up. The bathroom was a raised circular addition to a room that likely didn’t have facilities or was previously student housing. A space pod would best describe it. As a result, it was relatively cramped with limited counter space. No phone in the room. On the other hand, a good hot breakfast was available at extra cost. And very very close to the Royal Mile. This fact alone rises above the room criticisms, so go with the proximity to the attractions over minor criticisms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They knew the places to see and places to eat. Overall, a good place to see Edinburgh.

2 ibis hotels in close proximity was a bit confusing. Went to the wrong one first up, like a lot of others. No room service.

The hotel is close to almost everything. Nice and clean hotel. My 3rd stay there and I will come back :)

Hotel was in a great location. Walkable to Royal Mile, food and souvenir shops. The staff is very nice and helpful. Only negative is the place can get sketchy with people asking for money. Also the hotel rooms need to be updated. Clean and everything works well, but you can see the old stains on curtains and dust in vents. Would still come back again.

we paid for a premium room with robes and an espresso machine. espresso machine leaked a lot, but we managed. yet refills for it were a chore to get. room service did not provide refills and one capsule of nespresso yields 20 ml of coffee. but we were greatful even for that, because the coffee in the city was atrocious. the robes never showed up... despite me asking. the people at the lobby were friendly. a ukrainian girl was super polite and welcoming. she tries really hard. hospitality is her thing. the breakfast was ok, we ate it once. what we liked the most is location and that our room had large windows that faced the road. the room was clean. it would be nice to have a tinest fridge. i like milk with my coffee and since refills were scarse, i bought the smallest jug and poured it out every day, since there is no way to store it. if i were to return to edinburgh, i would book again.

It was a great place to stay. The room was spacious. I would stay again. Located near all the tourist spots. Very walkable

Booked this hotel as it stated they had parking. However when I pulled up they didn't have any parking, but had a discounted rate at a parking garage over 10 mins away, so was not as advertised and added too much extra time, with leaving early the next day. The room we had was through the restaurant, so awkward to access. It faced the street at the back and with having terrible windows, we got no sleep, as the street noise kept us up till about 3am with drinkers outside the pubs. The entrance door to our corridor banged every time someone came in, and with paper thin doors and walls, it was very loud all night. The bed and pillows were poor quality, the bathroom was very loud when anyone in floors above used their bathroom, with the noise transferring to our room.

The hotel is very well located. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly. The only negative the twin beads are really narrow when compared to the US twin size. I would recommend and come back.

I was really disappointed by the overall condition of the hotel, especially given the cost of the room. The room itself was extremely stuffy, with visible mould around the walls and window. The bathroom was not clean, and I even found hair on the walls and towels, which was quite unpleasant. The kettle in the room was also dirty, with orange and black residue inside, making it unusable. The furniture and room in general felt very worn out, which only added to the negative impression. I’ve stayed in several hotels before, and it was clear that the attention to detail when it came to cleanliness was lacking here. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or choose to stay here again. That said, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful when approached, which I did appreciate.

I was disappointed that I could not close the window in the room, I really had to slam the outer window, but the inner window would not close, the street below could be noisy and I was woken up by a Man shouting at around 4am one morning. Also no telephone in the room to call reception, I found this odd for a hotel.

The property and staff were great. The double rooms feel more like you’re in a cruise ship rather than a hotel. But it’s conveniently located and clean.
