Old and quaint, but good value and friendly, helpful staff. The only disadvantage might be not having 24-hour desk, but that did not affect us. It was a good stay for two nights.

La posizione è ottima, ma ciò è tutto. A parte avere una piccola sala comune luminosa e che affaccia su una parte del centro moderno della città, il resto è inquietante. Non so, dalle foto vedo che sicuramente ci sono stanze migliori della mia, ma se prenoti una singola con bagno in comune ne ricevi una in cui puoi a malapena girarti. Passi questo aspetto (se ci devi solo dormire); la cosa più grave è che le camere non hanno affacci sicuri e igienici. La mia finestra si apriva su una specie di tromba di scala (su cui si aprivano altre finestre di altre stanze) il cui tetto era pieno di piccioni e le cui tubature erano sporche, piene di polvere e incrostate. Non l'ho potuta aprire e non c'erano altre finestre. Il condizionatore (che ho dovuto per forza accendere) era impolverato e ciò ha reso l'ambiente irrespirabile, nonché pericoloso per soggetti allergici. Il bagno in comune era abbastanza pulito. Un'esperienza da dimenticare totalmente.

Ithere was no elevator, but when I booked it, elevator was part on the details of property. No 24/7 in oerson service. No drop box for the room keys of the guest/s if to leave early, just like on our case. l
We left too early to catxh up with our flight. So we left the keys in the room since nobody was in the office. My daughter and I got few bug bites.

We only spent one night there, but unfortunately it turned out to be quite noisy. This was our first night in Barcelona before heading to Sevilla. The staff were excellent and the room was clean, but the noise was a problem. Our room was located inside the building, and it seemed all the water pipes ran through this particular room walls. Each time someone upstairs used water or took a shower, we could clearly hear it rushing through the pipes, and it was very loud. I had trouble sleeping, though my kids weren’t bothered by it.
I would still recommend this Hostal, but suggest requesting a room that isn’t on the inside of the building. Perhaps one facing the street might be better—though there could be traffic noise to consider as well.

Arrived and realized only elevator broken, climbed up top 6th floor with luggages. Staff Ali very rude, told to pay remaining deposit in cash, and was told to go somewhere else or another hotel instead if the elevator broken & had to walk up stairs.
