Parador De Gijon

Secluded bar area and nice breakfast dining room.

Ideally located, equal distance from the beach and the centre of town. Free parking in the hotel grounds and the area around the hotel is non threatening and friendly. Perfect location!

El hotel esta muy limpio y el personal muy atento. Ademas, el hotel está en un lugar privilegiado, al lado de un parque. Como sugerencia, deberian cambiar las puertas de las habitaciones, en los años 50 estarian bien pero....

parking was inadequate for the amount of rooms in the hotel. having to park , outside and far. air conditioning was limited and the room was warm. staff was friendly and professional answering all the questions

OK but not the best Parador

The room was old fashioned and in need of some TLC. There wasn’t a coffee maker in the room which is an amenity that I’ve gotten used to having. The bar was closed in the morning so you have to sign up for the full breakfast or go out for coffee.

Staff is very friendly, room is comfortable and clean, location is great!

Like all the paradors, this one was very nice.

Meine Eindrücke habe ich Ihnen eigentlich schon über diverse Medien zukommen lassen. Das Zimmer war bestückt, mit allen Möbeln muffig und an dem Zusatzbett konnte man sich verletzen. Bewegungsfreiheit gleich null. Und so weiter. Eigentlich hätten wir gar nicht erst einchecken sollen, aber da ist schon spät war Und ein Wechsel nicht mehr möglich war, haben wir eine Nacht dort verbracht. Am nächsten Morgen sind wir so früh wie möglich aus dem Hotel. Ich habe mir von der Rezeption den Checkout nach einer Nacht bestätigen lassen. Ich habe mehrfach versucht sie zu erreichen und um einen Rückruf gebeten leider erfolglos Ich hoffe, dass sie nun endlich Kontakt mit mir aufnehmen. Great piece of history in the middle of a new city next to the park .

Hermoso lugar con excelente ubicación, atención maravillosa de su staff. El único problema es que el restaurante solo va por reservas y nunca conseguimos desayunar ahí. Sin duda volveré

The service was very slow in the restaurant took over 2 hours for dinner. The breakfast was disappointing, in all the dining room was soulless. The beds were hard, we did not have a good night's sleep.

Thoroughly recommend for an overnight stop.

Hotel que não se revela um quatro estrelas. No máximo duas estrelas. Sem comodidades e conforto questionável. Banheiros com deficiências de limpeza. Quarto apertado, café da manhã dispensável.

Gijón was bigger than we expected but the location of the parador on the edge of a lovely park made it seem as if we were staying in a smaller city. We were able to walk to many places including some beaches. Our only complaint was that the internet was terrible. When we got a connection in our room for a few moments, it was very slow and got dropped before we could use WiFi. The WiFi connection was better downstairs in the lobby but still slow.
