We stayed at the hotel the Playa De La Luz while visiting our daughter station at the naval base in Rota. We enjoyed our stay the resort is nice and the atmosphere was very laid back. We had breakfast included in our package, and it was well worth it. The pools are nice the beach had way to much seaweed for our liking but it is still a beautiful setting to be on the beach. Parking could also be better, we parked on the outside of the hotel as it can be costly to stay in the hotel parking lot. All in all we had an amazing stay there.

We had short stay one night. Room was very clean and we loved the vibe. Only minor issue! Balcony sliding door was making noises so not really good if you open/close late time. Pool was very clean. We loved the area and the hotel.

The hotel was spacious, clean & well maintained. I would highly recommend, the pools, beach & rooftop adult pool/beach club was very nice. Reception staff was coldly polite & not especially helpful, they did not make recommendations, etc. The cleaning staff is amazing! The woman who cleaned our room daily made the bed perfectly, was warm, funny, kind & patient with us. The location was good-we had a car, they have paid parking available. However, just outside the gate there is plenty of free street parking, in nice neighborhood. If you want a lounge chair on the beach, be aware the charge is €12 p/p per day. Rota was lovely, lots of good food & lovely locals.

Strul med parkering som vi betalt i förväg, det gick inte enligt dem, löste sig när vi kunde översätta vår bokning. Fint område ligger direkt på stranden. Trevlig promenad längs stranden in till Rota ca 2,5 km flera strandbarer.

Beautiful, safe, and convenient location. Good selection at the breakfast buffet. Staff very helpful and friendly. Beds very hard; maybe its a European thing but i prefer a softer mattress. Attached restaurant not impressed with food selection. Hotel a bit overpriced for the area.

Llevo viniendo a este Hotel desde los 90, hacia mucho que no venía, TODO EXCELENTE COMO SIEMPRE, excepto que ahora el parking lo pagas aparte y no esta incluido en la reserva, pero en la reserva NO ESTA CLARO ESTO. Solo pone parking disponible, esto no me ha gustado.... En fin.... Por lo demás todo fantástico y rl PERSONAL DE RECEPCIÓN FUE MUY AMABLE Y CERCANO, GRACIAS🙏💕

The property was in a good location next to the beach and a good walk through into the town. Slightly frustrated to discover we had to pay for the beach club and that we had to pay for the whole stay (not just the days we wanted to use it). Likewise we had to pay for towels as well which we weren’t expecting. Once there it was a nice area but there was no bar or service until 5pm (also frustrating given there was a member of staff behind the bar every day)! There wasn’t much food choice for vegans/veggies which we both are. The room was really spacious and clean and we had a balcony view that included sea/pool. Overall a nice stay just some minor frustrations around clarity if pricing and

Me ha parecido que el hotel era mediocre,para acceder a las habitaciones era como un laberinto,muy lejos de la entrada y las indicaciones mínimas,muy mal,los aparcamientos muy justitos y los del hotel muy caros,el servicio de limpieza muy bien y el restaurante de al lado del hotel la gaviota muy caro, comimos el primer día y fue un desastre,precios de los platos muy caros y escasez de comida,parecía más un restaurante para jeques que para una familia mileurista,muy mal,la playa muy cerca pero muy sucia llena de algas y de piedras.en resumen no volveré más a este hotel y no sé lo voy a recomendar a nadie.

Brutal en todos los sentidos. Comida (el buffet desayuno es espectacular), amabilidad, limpieza, ubicación (frente a la playa con atardeceres que te dejan sin palabras), instalaciones... De verdad merece la pena alojarse aquí.

I went to a Rota Naval Base school reunion which was hosted by the Playa de la Luz Hotel. They did an excellent job. My one complaint is that our room bill was very difficult to decipher, and after I figured it out it turned out they were charging for an extra night! In short, excellent friendly hotel, but confusing bill at check out.

Brutal en todos los sentidos. Comida (el buffet desayuno es espectacular), amabilidad, limpieza, ubicación (frente a la playa con atardeceres que te dejan sin palabras), instalaciones... De verdad merece la pena alojarse aquí.

I went to a Rota Naval Base school reunion which was hosted by the Playa de la Luz Hotel. They did an excellent job. My one complaint is that our room bill was very difficult to decipher, and after I figured it out it turned out they were charging for an extra night! In short, excellent friendly hotel, but confusing bill at check out.
