A lovely hotel close to Sigiriya rock. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large, comfortable and clean. We went to the Sri Lankan restaurant and this was a nice experience that was more like you had gone to someone’s house for dinner. No menu, but the chef was a local lady who came around with the wait staff to serve you. Lots of food that was all very tasty.

When we arrived the hotel didn’t have my hooking despite me having a booking reference and the booking being made three months prior. They took ages to sort it out. The manager was obsequious to my partner and ignored me completely. The hotel is lovely but was spoiled by a large group of cyclists staying who were disruptive and noisy in the beautiful hotel.

Amazing beautiful room with a private pool. Staff were so accommodating and wonderful! There were beautiful peacocks everywhere and the location was ideal to see all the things we wanted to see in the area. There was a restaurant with buffet and a la carte options that were delicious. It was very helpful to have a good food option each night on site when we returned from our day’s adventures. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel.

Disappointed in hotel facilities, limited space to relax outside of the room when it’s raining, also had rodent droppings in our room and kept awake by noise of either rodent or lizard behind our bed in one of the wooden chalets. The rooms were also damp inside. Place seems to designed for the short stay big tour groups. Spa was a highlight authentic Ayurvedic spa. Would not stay for more than 1 or 2 nights if visiting Sigiriya

Der Eingangsbereich mit Lobby und Restaurant sowie der Pool bieten eine einmahlige Aussicht auf den Fels und den Urwald. Die Bungalows sind schön eingerichtet und verfügen über jegliche Annehmlichkeiten ausser aussicht. Denn sie stehen im Wald. Unser Bungalow oder besser gesagt die Klimaanlage war modrig.

This hotel lived up to the great ratings it has received...and then some. Every employee we encountered was warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, the rooms lovely. Best was all the elephant themed art work throughout the property. It was like walking in a modern art museum!

De huisjes kunnen nogal verwijderd liggen van het hoofdgebouw, en noodzaken dus een zekere afstand na het diner waarbij niet steeds voldoende verlichting aanwezig was. Bij regen is dit evenmin een voordeel. Ruim aanbod bij bufetten. Fantastisch zicht op Sigiriya Rock.

The hotel is eco friendly with a great view of Sigiya mountain. Pool is to die for with enough chairs for the size of the hotel. Lots of grounds to walk in seeing the many monkeys and wildlife! Staff were friendly but could not converse well in English. The service was extremely slow around the pool and in the dining area. Quality of food was poor compared to other hotels we have stayed in. In fact we visited the Heritage hotel for dinner one night which was far superior to what we had at this hotel. It’s a pity as the hotel itself is lovely.
