Hotel Helvetia

Lokasi hotel sangat strategis dengan kondisi kota Zermatt yg kecil dan menjaga originalitas menjadi sangat wajar kalau ruangan sangat sempit. Kondisi yg kurang bisa diterima adalah harus mengangkat koper yg besar sebagai traveler dr luar negeri ke lantai empat dengan tangga yg sangat sempit. Kondisi lain yang tidak memuaskan adalah karena extending 1 hari melalui pemesanan hotels.com, namun hotel memperlakukan kami sebagai tamu yg berbeda sehingga ketika waktunya check out, seprai dan sarung bantal dibuka kebetulan kami pulang utk menjelaskan bhw kami sdh memesan dua hari , dan sarung bantal yang sudah diambil tidak dipasang lagi sampai kami cek out Resepsionis hanya bekerja sampai dengan jam 5 sore

Excellent for 1st timer

In a place like Zermatt, can’t believe this place exists. The hotel locks the doors all day and puts your key on a ring for anyone like a hostel. When I got into room (which was a journey up 4 flights of stairs with multiple bags, I found a place like a college dorm with no sheets or pillow cases, no refridg, no phone, no one in office and not even a closure on shower.

Clean, small hotel and right in the main market. Awesome location and great value

Praktisk beliggenhet, men bråkete gate. Baren over gaten har 2 etasjer og vi hadde baren 10 meter fra sengen. Ta med ørepropper.

Property was a 5 min walk from the train station. The buffet breakfast was great. Great views from our balc. The stairs up to our room were tight and we struggled with ours suitcases. Otherwise perfect place to stay ony overlooking Zermatt

Breakfast included was very nice. The attached Italian restaurant was excellent.

I liked the balcony and view of square from there. Problems are it's right next to bust main street, so noise is issue. More that that my problem was the cigarette smoke from the bar downstairs which has outdoor nice seating. This place is in middle of hustle bustle but you have to pay price for it. I liked it. Next time I will choose some quieter place.

We had a room at the front of the building and it was AMAZING!! Yes, we had to lug a suitcase each up the narrow stairs, but once up there and the view is seen, all is forgiven!! I made my family sleep with the doors open for the fresh air, and so I could hear the music and sounds of town as I drifted off to sleep. Then waking up to the sun rising over the mountains, birds chirping.... It was perfect!! Breakfast was the cherry on top!! Besides the very easy walk from the station, hehe! Definitely recommend this place if you have the physical ability to carry suitcases up stairs :)

Authentic nice building. Rooms are not very soundproof. Showerhead was hanging so low, I was only able to wash my hear sitting down. The nice location as well as the price make up for that. There's lots of restaurants, shops and bike rentals nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you don't mind my first points of comment, then I would definitely recommend.

Spacious unit. Clean. At the center of the town, but might be too loud especially at night when all restaurants around are busy.

Wifi didnt work. The rooms windows all faced cafes or other smoking areas so a non-smoking room was a joke. The included breakfast was a good choice. We felt like we were in a basement. Also the room cist more than a decent room in Paris. Cant recommend.

This is the most horrible hotel I stayed in my travel history

A 8 min de la estación del tren, de McDonald's, restaurantes y supermercados Migro y Coop. Exactamente lo necesario para dormir y bañarase. Justo en la calle principal. No tiene aire, el balcón se comparte con otras habitaciones y hay que dejar las puertas al balcón abiertas para la ventilación. Baño pequeño. Desayuno sencillo pero funcional. No tiene ascensor, es auto check in. Solo estuve 1 noche. Me volveria a quedar.

The room, bath room, beds and space were all fine-----but they were on the 5th floor with no elevator. Climbing with luggage was a challenge. Finding the hotel was not straightforward. More signage would be helpful. The neighbor businesses were annoyed that we were asking for help to find the entrance. Breakfast was good.

This was a nice stay right in the heart of Zermatt. Though it was an older place (which was reflective in the rooms) it was a good place for the price. The staff was kind and helpful.

チェックインは壁に鍵がかけてあるので貼り出してある名簿の番号のを取ると言う独特な方法 朝食は2階で取ります　チェックアウトも鍵を元の処へ掛ければいいだけのようでした 場所はツェルマット駅から真っすぐ歩いて行き1階にパン屋が有るビルの左側の階段を上がります

Wouldn’t stay here if I’d known. Unexpected steep climb up 4 flights. Right next to migraine inducing bells that rang every 15 mins from 6am to 10:30 pm, and 15 mins unending w mult bells prior to mass. They were deafening n ear splitting w major tinnitus and migraine afterwards. The room and bathroom were TINY! Hard to move around or breath.

Dreadful hotel (but not realy a hotel, just a bunch of tiny ensuite rooms. No staff, no reception. Worst was the quilts on bed were damp, one was so damp we through it in the corner, the other was barely dry on one side to we placed it across both beds and coverd feet with towels (was damp and short!). Tea and coffee making was a taunt, yes there were cups and kettle, but nowhere to plug in the kettle! And no milk so useless. Room was on 4th floor (above street level), they called it 3rd. We had planned to leave our two heavy cases at reception, but no reception so had to lug all three up 4 floors of barely wide enough stairs. And then lug them down again. So disgusted we abondoned our second night, returned key to where I collected (hook on wall), and left Zermatt never to return. Never saw a staff member

Difficult to find. It is in an alleyway beside a bakery, almost opposite Grand Hotel Zermatthof and at right angles to the Hotel Post. Up at least 3 flights of old stairs in an old chalet. The key was waiting for me. Once there, it is comfortable, even a kettle and easy chair provided. There is a balcony overlooking the main street. The furnishings, lighting and equipment are good. Everything as clean. The only thing missing was a plug for the basin - perhaps this was an accident?
