Hôtel des Alpes

Sono restato a Ginevra per colpa di un volo cancellato, ho scelto questo hotel e mi sono trovato molto bene per via della silenziosità della stanza e della posizione vicina al lago. Inoltre il check out è alle 12, per cui ho potuto prendermi del tempo per fare una passeggiata e comodamente rientrare in stanza per un po’

Convenient location!

Close to the train station. Basic rooms

We paid for a triple room with a rooftop terrace. We were told that room was being renovated so we got two adjoining rooms without terrace. The refrigerator in one of the rooms was hotter than the room. The gym was also unavailable due to renovations in progress. Do not stay here unless you know the renovation has been completed. We would not have stayed here if we had known half of the hotel was unavailable.

The location is very strategic but the hotel room needs to be renovated.

We booked this hotel as it was within walking distance from the train station. It is literally a 2 minute walk from the train station and easy to jump on buses and trams to local attractions. The rooms in themselves are comfortable but dated. The blinds do block out the majority of the light but more could be done. The shower head was coming away from the wall. The staff were really friendly and helpful with recommending places to go along with the free transport that Geneva offers. Breakfast was basic but very nice and it was great to have a kettle and fridge in the room to keep drinks cold and make a cup of tea after a long day. This is not the case in all Swiss hotels on our travels so was very thankful for it.

The stay was quite nice. The only downside was the air conditioning was being serviced throughout our stay and during unseasonably hot weather, the room was uncomfortably hot at night.

Erinomainen sijainti, ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Lento aikaisin Genevessä, saimme huoneen jo aamupäivästä, siitä plussaa. Huoneessa hyvä sänky, minijääkaappi ja ilmastointi. Aivan vieressä runsaasti ravintoloita ja järvelle myös lyhyt kävelymatka. Huoneen varauksen yhteydessä sai linkin "kaupunkikorttiin", jolla pääsi kulkemaan ilmaiseksi joukkoliikenteessä (juna, bussi, vene).

Ok place in Geneva. Very loud ac unit in the room, we stayed in a triple room. It has very low ceilings but was ok. The breakfast is not great, but in my opinion that’s kind of usual in Europe. Geneva is very small so most places are close to the Center and train station. Staff was nice, the hotel is very close to the train station and dining so it’s really convenient. If I was going to come back to Geneva I would consider this hotel again, but not for more than a stay of a day or two at most.

This hotel is perfectly situated in Geneva. Just down the road from the train station & within walking distance of the lake. The rooms are big & well provided for. I recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was originally included in the bookings I made. But at the property they said there is no breakfast included after we ate the breakfast, they were rude. When we checked in they said breakfast included for all 3 bookings

Overall disappointing hotel experience, when I arrived there was vomit and a foul smell on the stairs, the room was advertised as with AC but the AC did not function, I found hairs in the bathroom and an overall minimal amount of comfort in the room. Upon checkout a rude staff member insisted I had an unsettled breakfast charge despite me never setting foot in the breakfast room. He kept saying “I know you took breakfast” despite me trying to explain there must have been a mistake, and when he offered to review the security footage which I gladly accepted he then backtracked stating “ok I will waive the charge but I know you had breakfast.” All of this over a 15 Swiss franc fee seemed rude and uncalled for - he then went and got the staff working breakfast at the time who confirmed it was not me and had a different age and appearance, and instead of apologizing he said “so this must have been the person you were staying with” despite my other guest in the room looking nothing like this description and getting breakfast with me outside the hotel. The location is great, but for the price I paid and the state of the accommodations I left with a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately.

Only stated briefly for stopover . Fridge and reading light by bed didn’t work. Air conditioning was good and bed was comfortable

Hotel was close to main train station, good location. It was really hot weather when we went so having AC in the room was very good. We noticed AC is hard to come by in the city in general for some reason. Room was very basic but got the job done. Room was clean.

A perfect location near the main train station and to walk Geneva. Safe, clean, comfortable accommodations with a very helpful staff.

Meget sentralt hotell, nært jernbanen. Ca 30franc med Über fra flyplassen. Romslige rom som er lyse og trivelige med god seng og bra aircondition. Hyggelig betjening!

This hotel was probably the most convenient hotel in our two weeks stay in Europe. It was only a block from the train station, and a few blocks in the other direction to Lake Geneva. There were a lot of food places in shops in a walkable distance around it. The hotel room itself was OK, the balcony was really nice, but the room just seemed a little outdated in terms of furniture and appliances. However, we still had a good night sleep so that made it okay

O hotel localiza-se na região turística central de Genebra. Não é uma localidade particularmente bonita mas é perto das estações de trem e rodoviária. Há muitos restaurantes e bares nos arredores com culinária diversa do mundo todo. Fica próximo ao lago Leman e é fácil deslocar-se para a cidade antiga, para o lado oposto do lago e para a região das Nações Unidas. A cama é confortável e o quarto embora pequeno é suficiente para descansar após um longo dia de passeios. Oferecem café e chá de cortesia no quarto. O banheiro é limpo e tudo funciona adequadamente. O ar condicionado é um pouco barulhento e o funcionamento por vezes não é tão eficiente (tenho impressão que somente agora, com o aquecimento global, os hotéis suíços estão começando a se adaptar ao calor). O café da manhã foi servido no Hotel Montana do outro lado da rua e foi excelente - valeu a pena. A atendente da recepção era muito atenciosa e deu dicas preciosas sobre a cidade e o funcionamento do hotel - excelente profissional! A cidade oferece transporte público gratuito durante a estadia e isso foi ótimo para que pudéssemos aproveitar e conhecer a cidade. O calor estava tão intenso que foi possível até mesmo mergulhar nas águas límpidas do lago Leman! Gostei muito do hotel e da cidade!
