ibis Bern Expo

The hotel is overall standard, clean, and compared to other hotels closer to city center is ok priced (for Switzerland). The only downside was shower temperature, it was going from boiling hot to freezing cold constantly and there was no way to regulate it. Also there was no kettle in the room and no option to get free tea from the reception area. You can buy tea from the hotel bar for 4CHF, the tea is a simple twinings teabag. Location wise there's not much around, as in there are no restaurants and bars but the tram stop is just outside the hotel so it wasn't a problem. Hotel offers free public transport ticket, make sure to ask for it!

Staff was extremely helpful. The restaurant (including the bar area) was very cosy. They offered the free city pass which we used to visit their Old Town. The tram station was near by.

It was very limited and inconvenient for the stay as the area was looks very abandoned because the facilities hotel offers are not enough inside the hotel and surrounding are very boring I won’t recommend to satay with family there

Leider musste ich morgens um 1/2 3 ca 20 Minuten bei der Anmeldung warten. Auch am Morgen musste ich auf die Quittung warten.. Schade

Hotel leicht ausserhalb. Mit dem Tram ist man sehr schnell in Bern. Haltestelle direkt vor der Türe.

Excelente experiência. Próximo à condução. Para o centro, pegar o tram 09 que passa na esquina. Bom café da manhã. Excelente custo benefício.

Ibis Hotel immer wieder

Türe schloss erst mit sehr viel Kraftaufwand richtig. Bitte Schliesssssystem von Zimmer 205 überprüfen. Zimmer direkt neben dem Lift ist immer ein schlechtes Zimmer. Am Morgen sind die WC-Gänge von anderen Hotelgäste durch starkes rumoren im Zimmer hörbar gewesen.

Booked a double room for three nights to stay with my family, (spouse + 6 year old kid). We were not allowed to stay there and were asked to book another room due to there policies. We ended up booking an extra room (total of 2 rooms) in the same hotel for the night, Had to pay ~$ 100 although we never used the second room (ended up staying in the same room as a family). Had to stay in the Novotel hotel(next to Ibis under the same management) for next two night which cost me extra ~ $ 300 for the saty than I anticipated. It is strange that I never had this issue in other hotels in Switzerland (or any other country) during my 30 days trip in Europe. Reasonably OK hotel for the money. Front desk staff not friendly or helpful at all. I would not stay there again and not recommending families with kids to stay there.

Parkplätze recht schwierig zu finden.

It is not centrally located, but only 15 minutes walking distance and 7 minutes by public transportation to the city center. It is very clean, the staff is very helpful and the breakfast is excellent. I would recommend it anytime.

Gut und zweckmässig

There was no refrigerator in the room. Bar in the lobby was good, and basically open for 24hrs.

Check-in am Vormittag war nicht möglich. Obwohl Zimmer ab 14:00 h verfügbar sei, dauerte das Check-in am Nachmittag rund 30 min. Ein verfügbares Zimmer zu finden, war offenbar eine Herausforderung... Das Haus selbst ist extrem ringhörig; morgens ab ca. 07:30 h (Bau?) Lärm, welcher auch tagsüber präsent war. Dies ohne jegliche Vorwarnung oder Info. Lage direkt bei der EXPO ist der grosse Vorteil. Parking und Frühstück i.O.

Gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen. Gutes Frühstück
