I enjoyed my one night stay. The front desk were helpful and kind. The single room is charming and beautiful to experience.

Macaron otelinde 3 gece konakladık. Konakladığımız ilk gece sokaktaki aşırı seslerden ve otel içindeki yüksek seslerden uyuyamadık, gürültü durumunun belirtilmesi gerekirdi. Ayrıca oda yeterince temiz değildi 3 gece kalmamıza rağmen odaya bir kere bile temizliğe girilmedi, havlu değişimi, şampuan takviyesi vs yapılmadı. Tuvalet kağıdı dahi eklenmemişti biz isteyince zaten sizin çıkış olmayacak mı dendi 12 de çıkacağımızı söyledik 12 mi ama giriş olacaktı bi sormam lazım diye sitem edildi halbuki çıkış saati 12.30 yazıyor. Kahvaltıda bir sorun yoktu iyiydi ama çok da farklı bir şey beklememek lazım. Bir daha konaklayacağımı sanmıyorum

Complete false advertisement it was 2 plus hours away from airport is more like someone’s house from the 1900 we were the only guest upon our arrival and it was a Shame that Expedia took no accountability in having this place in their search engine.

Dört dörtlük bir yer. Mehmet bey çok ilgiliydi.

Öncelikle Mehmet Bey çok ilgili ve güler yüzlüydü. İhtiyacımız olan her zaman iletişime açıktı. Konağın tarihi dokusu da mükemmel ve etkileyiciydi. Kahvaltı genel olarak yeterliydi ancak sıcak sayısı artırılmalı. Biz 3 yetişkin 1 çocuk konakladık. İki ayrı odada çift kişilik yatak vardı. Yatakların biri çok rahat ve konforluyken diğerinin yorgan ve yatağı rahatsız ediciydi. İki odanın ortasında bir banyo vardı. Banyo oldukça küçüktü. İki gece konakladık, temizlik için olsun tuvalet kağıdı kontrolü için olsun kimse gelmedi. Daha çok talep etmeniz gerekiyor. Akşamları bahçede oturmak isterseniz hiçbir sıcak içecek bulamazsınız. Harika bir bahçesi var oysaki daha çok vakit geçirebilmek isterdik.

The hotel is lovely. Breakfast was good. Fridge did not work in room, but I was able to use the main fridge. Initially difficult to find as taxis do not come there, but manager came looking for me. They did arrange an early taxi to come to the hotel to take me to the bus terminal. The taxi was able to get there as tables were not set up in the normal road, which happens later in the day.

Historic building with a beautiful backyard

Cok tatli bir konak olmasina ragmen pek memnun kalmadik. Klima yatagin tam karsisinda oldugu icin gece acip uyuyamadik. Camlarda da sineklik yoktu. Banyo kokuyordu. Temizlik iyi degildi. Butun bunlara ragmen kahvalti ve bahcesi cok iyiydi. Konaklama degil ama kahvaltisini tavsiye ederim.

çok huzurlu ve mutlu bir konaklama oldu. çalışanlar çok ilgili kibar ve saygılılardı. odalar da gayet temiz ve rahattı. sabah kahvaltısıda çok iyiydi. bahçesi harikaydı. en önemliside konağın köpeği Kuki dünya tatlısı bişeydi. onla akşam bahçede oturmak bile yeterdi kalmak için çok özliycem. kesinlikle gidin ayrıca otoparkıda olduğu için süper çünkü ayvalıkta yollar çok dar ve taşlı trafik yoğun arabızı güvenle bırakbilirsiniz. Herşey için teşekkürler macaron.

I stayed here on 3 separate occasions in September 2019. I felt very much at home here and would return again in the future. This small hotel is warm and inviting, had comfortable and clean rooms and a beautiful courtyard where you could have breakfast or just sit and relax under the trees. It was conveniently located in the old section of Ayvalik . The breakfast was amazing and the staff was friendly and very helpful with any questions I had . I would highly recommend the Macaron Konagi !

Charming and authentic hotel in the old part of Ayvalik town with good access to the old part of town

Very nice place, quite, cosy even if the room and more the bathroom are very short. The terrace is really wonderful, people very friendly to help you and give good advise. The best is the solution for the parking, really difficult in Ayvalick, phone and they will guide you to the parking.

Having stayed here last year on a solo trip, this charming hotel was my first choice when travelling this year with a friend. Located in a prime old-town location, this family-owned-and-operated hotel simply oozes character. Our room was delightful, clean and comfortable; breakfast served in the rear courtyard was plentiful and delicious; the management and staff were all welcoming and friendly. I'm already looking forward to another stay here, and have no hesitation in recommending to others.

We liked: location, breakfast, decor. We did not like: passive smoking within the bedroom (room fronts onto road where people were smoking). Roads/alleyways were constructed before cars (i.e very narrow) so there is no parking in front or next to hotel-we parked in front of the Hayrettinpaşa Mosque a few hundred metres away. Breakfast is served in the garden courtyard in rear of the property, which is very pretty, but extremely cold in April (9C at 9am when breakfast service starts). A couple stayed with their pet dog in room next to us; it barked from behind the door when we entered or left our room - this scared our young children. same dog came to breakfast the following morning and sat on a chair at a table (we did not know pets could stay in the hotel), Very bad odour coming from the drains in the bathroom. When paying the bill, we expected to pay €136.40. the online exchange websites estimated this as 890.12 TL, but the receptionist asked for the rounded figure of 900 TL. We showed her the calculation from the online site we visited and she accepted to charge 890 TL, but commented in Turkish “kuru” (which means exchange rate). Had she shown us how she arrived at her figure (which other hotels have done for us) we would have accepted. It left a bitter feeling having to “haggle” for the fee. This money is equals half the cost of buying a small purse in Cop Madam (a women’s social enterprise intitiative) or buying tea/coffee/cold drinks for 4 in a cafe in the same area.

This charming family-owned-and-operated Boutique oozes history, personality and character. Located centrally in the narrow streets of the old town, vehicular access is not particularly easy but well worth the effort to benefit from it charming locale, and proximity to some great shops and restaurants (including an artisinal bakery which is a part of the hotel). My room (the only single room) was small and compact but the bed was comfortable and, overall, the space was adequate for my short stay. The shower room was also rather small and awkward for someone with my larger-than-average frame. However, the unique charm and character of the place more than compensated for the size of my personal accommodation. An exceptional breakfast selection was served each morning, including freshly-baked treats from the attached bakery, and enjoyed al-fresco in the delightful courtyard garden. The on-site owners, management and staff were all very attentive, friendly and helpful. All-in-all I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and will not hesitate to return or to recommend to others.
