Bide-A-Wee Inn

Loved it ! So quaint and perfect for me & my puppy

We usually love the Bide A Wee but this stay in the handicap room left us longing for home. The mattress was so thin and so were the pillows. The shower spills over to the drain in the middle of the bathroom which makes walking on the tile dangerous. It was quiet at night and convenient to the beach and town.

This is a sweet old-fashioned hotel that is completely comfortable.

The Bid a wee property is so pretty, clean and so close to the beach. We loved it there and would definitely stay there again!!

Our overall stay is consistently pleasant. It is peaceful and near the beach, and we love the environment. This stay there was an issue with the door lock but the staff worked diligently to remedy it.

We always enjoy our stay here. The setting outside is peaceful and you can hear the ocean in the distance. There are plenty of sitting areas outside, an in ground firepit and bbq’s. It is very pet friendly with bags to cleanup after your pet. Our bed was comfortable, and amenities like utensils, pots and dishes were available, as well as soap and shampoo. The beach, lighthouse and golf course are within walking distance.

Friendly staff, people staying here said very nice things about place and have stayed here before. All compliments.

This is a quaint little place. We rented a cottage and it was perfect for the two of us and our doggo. It was so close the beach trail! We walked there morning and evening. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again soon!

Room 100 is very small and right next to the laundry room, which was in constant use by cleaning staff from 8am sharp until after 11. The hum of machines is bearable, a bit like white noise, but opening/closing the machine doors often was disruptive and the dryers entered an on/off cycle when they were done late at night that was also unpleasant. The king sized bed is clearly pretty old and has 2 visible divets and a high ridge in the center, and we both woke up with backaches. Pretty property and very kind staff though.

This felt like a true getaway because it was peaceful, quiet, close enough to the beach that you can hear the waves and I watched the sunset while listening to the birds chirp. It was a beautiful experience.

This was our 4th stay at B-A-W over the years and we stayed 3 nights. We heard the rooms were updated and we were anxious to visit. We were disappointed, especially with the bedding. The sheets were clean but a bit dingy & worn, the comforter was very worn with tears, the fake fireplace did not light, the phone didn’t work, one of the tv remote controls was broken so we took it to the office, and the bathroom had 2 bath towels, one washcloth and one hand towel for two people over 3 nights. In the cupboard there were 2 cups, 2 dinner plates and 2 bowls. If we didn’t wash right after using them, there would have been no others to use for our next meal. Although the weather was beautifully cool, we didn’t want to sleep with the window open due to an easy breakin. Our room faced Asilomar street. With the window closed, it was quite warm to sleep and there was not a fan in the closet. During our stay we did have the Do Not Disturb sign on our door, which would have brought fresh towels and cleaned a dish or two. But, it would have been nice to have a few extra necessities when we arrived without having someone come into our room. On the bright side, the grounds are lovely, the location is beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly and the light breakfast offerings are very much appreciated.
