Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Amarillo I-40 West, TX

What the property describes is not what you get. We arrived to a hotel that had cracked walls, cracked windows, broken furniture, what appeared to be blood on the curtain and walls, and was absolutely filthy. We stayed maybe ten minutes. The front deal staff was extremely rude as well.

I would highly recommend this hotel! It is very comfortable and the staff is so amazing! The staff definitely cares about the customers needs, and does everything they can to accommodate.

It was great and close to the hospital

Everything was great. Great service, friendly staff, very clean. Breakfast was delicious, staff was very attentive to the breakfast area. The hotel is beginning to show sone signs of wear and tear. Nothing too big (paint, carpets) I'm sure they will address these at some point.

The property is nice. The staff is good. We had such noisy upstairs neighbors that required my husband to go to the front desk multiple times from 10:30pm to 2:30am. The lady at the front desk said it was her first night and didn't get any help. We (2 adults and 2 - 5 & 8 kids) couldn't sleep because the mother of the kids refused to do anything to keep them quiet at night or make them go to bed. She laughed at the night clerk and said there was nothing she could do. Couldn't believe the front desk clerk didn't even offer to move us to another room or discount our stay due to our experience. Not our first stay at this property but definitely our worst and probably our last.

I stayed here with my two sons traveling through Texas while doing some college visits -the hotel room we were given was not clean.The bathroom sink was dirty and when we went to use the sink the water came back up out of the drain and started flooding the sink basin we immediately called the front desk but it was the first time the front desk woman had worked the night shift and she didn’t know who to get a hold of. So we stayed in the nasty room because it was 1:30am and no one was getting back to us. The next morning I tried to explain to the room caretakers what was going on and that we could not use our sink and no one spoke English-I went down to the front desk and the front desk woman told me that Jaime, the manager, would get a hold of me immediately bc none of this was acceptable -that was two weeks ago …I called Jaime twice now and left messages -twice -and Jaime has never reached out to me -I spent $130 plus taxes for a night in a hotel that was nasty-unclean-clogged pipes-and gross water coming out of the bathroom sink -we took our showers, brushed our teeth and washed our hands in the shower…fun times The manager can not be bothered to reach out.

We got to our room and the door wouldn’t shut. My husband had to fix some screws just to get the door to close. Then the pullout bed wouldn’t work right. And on top of that, I paid for 5 people and only got 4 towels. I had to go back downstairs to get towels. We ended up changing rooms bc we needed the pullout sofa. It was just a big hassle that we didn’t want to deal with after a 12 hour drive.

Staff was rude and grumpy. did not feel welcomed at all. there were several people smoking directly at the front door - disgusting. The hotel itself was old and musty and the room was musty as well. The couch in the room look like it was from a college fraternity house; Goodwill would probably reject it. The bathroom was way too small and the door would not shut properly. Overall, the property and staff need an entire overhaul. Stay away.

Stayed here several times and always a good experience. This time, rooms were fine as always, check in great, but breakfast not so much. We got there 15 minutes before end time. The extremely unfriendly attendant was literally taking food away while we were standing in front of it. Then glared at us while we ate. Food was gone 5 minutes before it was supposed to be over. Sad because this had been our favorite stop in Amarillo. Staying elsewhere on return trip

Nice, big, clean room. The lobby area was cramped, especially when a large group arrived. Not nearly enough handicapped parking or ramps, especially when people park in front of them. Not enough seating in the breakfast room, made worse by groups camped out talking for extended periods. Front porch area by door was always packed with people socializing (and drinking) so getting through the door was challenging at times. Lobby, breakfast and porch areas far too small to accommodate the number of rooms/people.

Air filter/conditioning vent in room had build up of dirt and dust - it was gross. Curtains were broken and couldn’t be pulled to close out bright outdoor spotlights. Pet friendly was helpful. Should charge a flat pet rate rather than per pet.

Great and very clean room. I only had a problem with the shower curtain that would not stay close. I believe other guess have had the same problem because the grout on the tile was almost completely gone.

I was there for three nights and it was scheduled from the hotel that my room was not to get serviced until I left, they don't replace full sets of towels even when I asked the front desk, nor do they replace soaps for showering and the breakfast was bare minimum and the eggs were under cooked. The fountain never turned on the whole time me and my family went swimming. For the price I payed it was definitely not worth it.
