Grand Central Motel

I’ve definitely paid way more for way less. This little property is a diamond in the rough. New owners are working diligently to constantly improve. A great place to stay as we passed through.

Love the price for a convenient and quick stop-over. Easy to find. Room access was easy. No need to check-in. Bed was clean, room was overall clean but that carpet ... yikes!! Pets are allowed, however there is no place for dogs to go potty. I had to wander the sketchy neighborhood to find a suitable place.

Best value for a clean quiet place. Would stay here again

The owner was nice and responded quickly. Clean room. Every room had roku so you can binge watch on Netflix and also had a microwave and fridge which i liked! Definitely recommend!

We stayed @ Grand Central for 2 nights it’s a clean room no smells or bugs & quiet place with a friendly neighborhood . My husband Robert enjoyed staying specially me the wife 😇 I love to watch outside peacefull with a beautiful view beautiful small town so relaxing . We don’t mind to recommend this Motel to our friends .

You get what you pay for. This place is definitely a bargain and the price is right.

I chose by lowest price, was pleasantly surprised to find room very clean and comfortable. Right on main road so a little noisy but got a good nights sleep.

Cheerful, clean, and a comfortable bed. A real coffee pot in the room and the fridge had a freezer section. The "virtual desk clerk " thing meant no one was on site to straighten out the tv, though the manager (?) walked me through it by phone. And he came over and fixed a plumbing problem right away.

Cheap and quirky small town motel, you get what you pay for (in a good way). I crashed here for a night on a road trip. Quiet spot, contactless check in, payment, check out etc. means you don't even have to speak to another human during your stay (unless you want to, of course), which was new to me but a pleasant experience. Would def stay here again if I'm ever back on Hwy 50.

The hotel was old (as is almost everything else in Ely) but the hotel was clean, check in was easy, and the showers were hot! The beds were comfortable, although a little hard, but overall a decent place, especially for the price. We would definitely stay here again.

Solo traveler stopping thru a road trip. Owners remodeling location. Still lots to do. Water heater went out in whole hotel thru the night, but owners apologized. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Great room check in and room lock situation with codes vs room keys. Strange odor in room, unpleasant. Apartment size fridge, microwave and coffee pot available. No breakfast on site byt theu do give a voucher for breakfast down the street which was nive and the giid was good.

Heaven at the end of a very long day. From our oversized parking to our late check in everything was perfect! The check-in via text was new to us but when getting in at midnight it was perfect to have everything done in advance. Then the room... yes its "Basic" but with its upgraded pillows, upgraded bedding, plenty of linens. Actually coffee in the room, (Super 8 in CA is removing coffee pots from their rooms!) an apartment sized fridge and large screen tv we felt like we were at a 5 star resort The room is spotless, the owner was very friendly on the phone. I will come back to this hotel based on the pillows on their own! Dont pass up this Gem because its off the beaten path its well worth it!

Cute little place, would definitely stay again if I'm ever back in the area.

The room was tidy and clean. Bed was comfortable. Good channels on t.v. within walking distance of a few restaurants.
