Holiday Inn Express & Suites ST. JOSEPH by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Had to call front desk due to cord being unplugged and couldn’t change channels. She was very helpful however she smelled our room up with smoke.

It's clean it's safe the staff is wonderful fitness room everything was great they even have washer and dryer

The hotel was very nice and in a great and safe area. Very close to Joe's coffee which was great!! The hotel staff were friendly. The only thing that we didn't like is that the floors were damp and sticky and if you walked with bare feet then you would get black feet and hair on your feet it was gross.

The breakfast was amazing. They have glass plates, bowls, coffee cups and reL silverware. The service was the best I have ever has at a Holiday Inn. Rooms were clean. We had maid service everyday. Witch is very unusual now a days. I highly recommend this hotel. This is a 10 out of 10 for me.

Charged my credit card an additional separate $3 for what I do not know.

The breakfast was excellent. The breakfast staff did exceptional work. The beds were too small.

Welcomed to the hotel and checkin was quick and easy. It just happened to be July 4th. I didnt realize that we would have front seats to fireworks but we did. We also came back from eating to find a gentleman sitting in the parking lot with a sign for parking for $20 to watch fireworks. I get they have private parking for quests. I didnt realize that they would try to profit off of free entertainment. I watched at least 3 cars leave because of this. Others paid the $20. I don't know who this gentleman was, employee, manager or owner of the hotel but thought it was rather tacky to profit from this. They could have put a sign saying private parking for guests only. Done and over if they didnt want people using their parking lot. Tacky, just tacky to profit off free entertainment on our nations birthday!

Carpet was sticky

Our stay was just a quick overnigt for our family of six. We were on the top floor, so it was very quiet. Room was clean, bathroom was nice and clean. Shower water pressure wasn't great. I slept on the couch pullout bed and it was terrible. Definitely needs replaced. I think the regular beds were ok. Breakfast spread was very good, but when I came down at 6:30 to eat, the front desk clerk told me it didn't start until 7 on weekends. We were wanting to get an earlier start that morning because we had a long way to go, and waiting for breakfast set us back. Not really impressed with this place.

Good hotel and room with proximity to numerous restaurants. Only there for one night with a family of 5.

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in Saint Joseph, Missouri last night. We live in town and had a bit of a house fire that made it impossible to sleep in our home. We booked the hotel through Expedia (thinking we were getting one of the nicer ones in town so we could at least be comfortable despite our circumstances). Upon arrival, I gave my license and the card being charged. Immediately the front desk receptionist noted my license said I lived in town. I said that we did (my husband and toddler), but we had a house fire. She showed no sympathy and said she’d have to check with her manager before she could allow us to stay. I was nearly in tears at 10:30 at night thinking I might have to face finding yet another place. Quite frankly, at that point, I didn’t even want to stay. The receptionist walked away to contact her manager and came back to ask who was paying for the room. At this point I was distraught (though, I didn’t show it. I just wanted a place for us to sleep as soon as possible). I told her we were paying and she walked away again to tell her manager. I can’t even tell you the terrible way this woman made me feel on top of already being displaced from our home. Apparently, the hotel does not allow locals to stay. However, we often book this hotel for our special speakers and out of town guests and I don’t think we’ll be doing that again. If they can’t treat local residents with kindness and hospitality, how can we expect them to treat our guests that way? This
