I would not recommend this hotel.

Stayed for a game in town. Nice area but no breakfast onsite. Only 1 elevator working so took a while. A few items in the room were sticky (Remote, drawer and nightstand).

Older, but cool 60s or 70s vibe. Clean and convenient.

This hotel is fine, but not very clean and the service is the worst I've seen. I don't even know how this place is still in business. The front desk people we worked with were incompetent, they were very stingy with the towels, and they were unnecessarily rude to some of the guys in our group. My room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled like an ashtray and the toilet was clogged when we got there. They came and fixed the toilet, but the only remedy they had for the smoke was to spray some air freshener. They would not give me another room. I might stay here again, but hard to say for sure after my last experience.

Needs updated

First of all, we were not aware that this was an “all suite” hotel. I was shocked when we opened the door to our room! The suite was lovely. We had a small issue with the lack of cold water in our shower, but it was addressed immediately. There was only one (of 4) elevator operating. The repairs and inspection on the front two are due to be completed by end of May (2025). I believe the 4th elevator was in use for the ballrooms/meeting rooms in the lower level. We booked thru Expedia and were told at check-in that “smoking rooms were not sold to third party clients.” So, if you want a smoking room at a casino hotel, you MUST book through the hotel. The casino is not on the first floor of the hotel. It is across the street, attached to the hotel by an enclosed elevated walkway on the 4th floor (long walk and elevator rides to the casino). It is easier, depending on the weather, to go outside and cross the street. Very few non-Horseshoe related restaurants within walking distance of this area. Laclede’s Landing area is mostly vacant with a tattoo shop, Old Spaghetti Factory, and Kimchi Guys being the only active businesses. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but would only stay for 1 or 2 nights, just to enjoy the casino. We would find elsewhere to enjoy the city’s tourist destinations.

Not all elevators were operating. We got only decaf coffee on our room.

They didn't tell me how expensive the food was.

Heat didnt work in room.

This hotel will put charges on your bill after you check out and force you to spend hours of your time to try and recoup the fraudulent charges. The billing number that they give you doesn’t handle this hotel. They tell you to call the hotel directly and then you can’t get a hold of anyone. This used to be a nice hotel. It isn’t anymore it’s dirty, the elevators are broken, and the parking lot is unattended.

just overall bad

This could be a really nice hotel, but for the price it is dingy, outdated, poorly maintained, kinda dirty, water feature in the courtyard is unnecessary. Needs to be updated and kept better... I had much higher expectations from the price and the photos and location.

Liked the room size

Room was large with separate living room and bedroom. Beautiful communal space with water wall and spaces for gathering.

Good value for the price.

I could smell cigarette smoke nearly the entire stay. TV only offers cable, we even brought a fire stick but did not work with TV. Very outdated decor. Only switch on TV was an on/off switch and when trying to find knobs, ended up with a handful of dust from TV. Also, volume could only be turned down to 13, no further.
