It was a great place with lots to do for our 4 grands of varying ages. Modern cabins. We brought our own food to grill on the bbq provided and we had pizza at the snack shop on site. Will definitely be back!

Everything was excellent, if I had a suggestion it would be to let guests know via text earlier about special events (ie wedding) that affect facility closures (ie restaurant/bar).

No wifi. And for a period of time no power. I wasn't able to get into the facility. Communication was terrible on check-in & check-out. The room was really clean & comfy though and the view gorgeous.

Cabins were very rustic. We were expecting a bit more like glamping, but these cabins were very far away from the bathrooms (up a steep slippery hill with no path or stairs) so basic needs were hard to accomplish. There as an outhouse nearby but it was filled to the brim at the beginning of a holiday weekend and did not get any better as time went on. Everything about the resort felt a bit neglected. The staff there seemed to be overworked and understaffed. We asked about the marina hours and the person at the office did not know, and when we tried to rent kayaks, there was just no one there. Very strange place, nice views, but their best days are likely behind them.

Restaurant had the kitchen closed fairly early Saturday night. Also there is a skylight over the bed which was no ideal. It made it impossible to sleep past 5 am. For the price point you would think there would be a comfier bed and the ability to cover windows. The view was nice but having a shared balcony was awkward as other people were able to see into our room if we did not close the blinds and vice versa.

My husband and I stayed in a slope side cabin so we did not get the best view (we were overlooking the parking lot). As they stated there is no indoor plumbing, But there is a nice public restroom and shower house in just up the hill. I recommend checking out the Trophy Lodge for a meal. Much better views there and fantastic food!

Stay was wonderful. Beautiful cabin, beautiful weather and absolutely beautiful views! Couch was terribly worn. Walk to shower house/ bathroom is a trek! Steps to it would be helpful. Overall the price was perfect, cabin very nice. The gamily time it created was amazing!

We recently found this property due to a last minute trip and the price was just right! Very pretty property with alot of things to keep busy if you like to be outdoors, the grounds seem well taken care of!
Staff were pleasant and helpful with any questions.
However, when we booked we were really excited to use the swimming area and outdoor slide but were sadly disappointed with the restrictions they have.
We really wish that information would have been readily available online.
Their website could offer alittle more information!
Overall, we really like it and would go back!!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here with our grandkids, but some aspects surprised us and were troubling.
First let me describe the good parts because it was fun. The scenery at this ski lodge was Beautiful. We were surprised by how big and nice was the cabin. Our 4 grandkids beach, trampoline, slides , etc and the small lake.
I was troubled by a few things. We knew there was no running water or bathroom in the cabin. I asked about the shared bathroom. The desk clerk assured me it was near the cabin, but obviously didn’t know. Technically it was pretty close, but straight up a steep hill without stairs. We did have access to a porta-potty which was overdue for cleaning.
The kids had fun so it wasn’t awful.

I woke up around 10 a.m. on July 4th in Rochester, MN and made A split decision last minute choice that it would be nice to watch the fireworks in Duluth, MN. I started looking online for hotels. Everything was $200+/night. I came across Mont du Lac Resort and found a small little cabin for under $100/night. I was on the road by 1 and arrived around 6. Ended up staying 2 nights because of the price and location. Cellphone reception wasn't great but they have free WIFI throughout the property! I had a great getaway. I will utilize this Resort again in the future if I'm in that area. Highly recommend. 5 Stars*****
