Sunrise Inn Williamstown

We booked here for convenience to the Ark and for the price & reviews. Yes it is an older motor lodge, but it is maintained pretty well and the cleanliness was excellent!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative we really had was the breakfast, which we didn’t eat. It consisted of just waffles, muffins, cereal, boiled eggs, & yogurt. From other reviews, I had expected more, such as a meat, ie bacon or sausage, or eggs, and maybe biscuits and gravy. But they do say it is a continental breakfast, so it is just that. So we drove 4 miles to eat in Dry Ridge which had several eating options. But El Jalisco Mexican food across from it is excellent!!! Huge portions of delicious food at good prices! Entrees are big enough to share! Even though it is “across the street “ from the Ark, we were glad we paid the $15 for parking since it was unexpectedly raining, and it is quite a hike from the lodging to the Ark entrance. And be aware that the Creation Museum is in another town about 40 miles away close to the Cincinnati airport, so be prepared to drive.

Decent motel option for the area, considering the hotel across the street was 4.5x the price. We stayed for three nights and the staff could not have been friendlier. Continental breakfast daily from 7a-9a at the office building. You can tell they are mid-remodel from being either a Days Inn or Motel 6, with newer bed, TV, Microwave, Keurig and fridge in the room. The pillows feel like they are the same since 1976. As well as the rest of the furniture being from the same 70s motel era. Good place to rest from being on the road, with a clean bed, hot shower and warm meal for not a lot of money. Also had decent WiFi and the Mexican restaurant up the hill was amazing. If you are visiting the Ark on a Budget, consider this motel.

The room was very clean, coffee & continental breakfast each morning was very nice & convenient. It is an older Inn. When you First pull in there is an old restaurant & store, you do question if it is a safe place, It is directly across from the Ark Encounter. The staff was courteous, rooms appeared to be updated, bed slept very well. The parking lot & rooms were full each night, so that tells you alot if people stay there.

Nice place to stay that is right off the interstate and only a short walk to the Ark Encounter with a gasoline station and convenience store next to the hotel.

Our room was clean, but the room was so damp? I did like the location to the Ark Encounter.

Staff was great, bed was too soft. The first night after I showered my feet were dirty - hour later when I went to bed snd yes I did wash them. I mentioned it at the front desk and the floor was cleaned thst day, good service and clean room.

beds were comfortable and sleeping was good. there is a freight train during the overnight hours and hear his horn. Other than that was right down the road from the Ark Encounter

Excellent breakfast and nice staff

Close to the Ark Encounter which was the reason for our stay. The furniture was older but the room seemed clean except for some dead bugs under the table. The floors didn’t seem as clean as most places we have stayed. And the pillows were very hard so I ended up rolling some clothing up to make a pillow.

Staff was very nice. Had issue with remote, contacted office and they sent maintenance over with new remote. Older property but well maintained. For the cost and convenience of being across from The Ark would recommend.

It was clean. Dated furniture but bed was comfortable. Electrical outlets were few and inconveiently placed. Free breakfast was ok but small area .couldn't accomadate as many guests that wanted to eat. The one staff member had trouble keeping up with replacing items available.
