I’ve been Ventura most of my life and never stayed at the Pierpont Inn.I was super excited for my stay. I love vintage hotels. Unfortunately, for the price, I did not enjoy the general atmosphere of the hotel. I really hope that they can pull it together and this business will succeed. On a very important note the bed was very comfortable.!

Room 510 had some issues...after check-in, I went to use my key card and it failed. I was able to find a maintenance person and they called the front desk and the person who works the desk verified that I am the correct person for the room. They then told them to check my ID which was weird considering I just checked in. The maintenance person then used his key card to unlock the door. When he tried to open the door, it wouldn't open completely...he stated the previous guest had tried to break-down the door and that he needed to hammer the frame. Once that resolved, I tried to get on the balcony, but the sliding glass door wouldn't open. I went to my work truck and got tools to fix this. I then tried to lay on the bed and it was creaky. They need a new mattress and box spring. Other than that, it was a decent hotel, with an amazing view of the ocean.

Deluxe king room with view was located in another building at least 100 yards from parking and up two flights of stairs. This was not mentioned on their website. Old room with few electrical outlets. A step down to the small bathroom. The furniture was not quite antiques but circa 1920. The large balcony was the only plus but had not been swept for a while. Old rusty-legged lopsided table that was dangerous. Cigarette butts and debris on the balcony. Overall not a good experience.

The photos posted on the website do not reflect the rooms at the hotel. The first room suite smelled like a dead body. The second room was not clean. The sheets and blankets on the bed were not clean. I would not recommend this establishment!

We have stayed here a few times in the past and enjoyed it. This time we found the grounds still beautiful anf the renovated rooms ok but not really functional. ( the tv didn’t work the safe didn’t work minimum effort made to make the guests comfortable the reception was not near the front of the building ( due to renovation that looked like it had been happening for a long time) and the the irritated young man behind the front desk sent me to a bathroom that was three buildings away.we were unable to get the room we reserved because the pictures on the site weren’t accurate and they had no rooms that were renovated that had bathtubs and given the state of things I didn’t want to risk a bad bed in an unrenovated room.

This hotel was very run down and overpriced. Not worth the value. Our room had so many things wrong with it: 1) the room smelled like rotten feet 2 ) all the chairs were peeling 3) towels were full of others’ hair 4)shower drain barely working 5) the worst was we kept hearing light knocking on the shower glass door throughout our stay. We were waken by the noise in the middle of the night. That place is haunted.
