This is an exceptional hotel in Ninh Binh. Our room was beautiful and the bed so comfortable. The bathroom had a beautiful bath tub and power shower. What makes this hotel is the staff starting with the concierge who organised our trip for us, he is a credit to the hotel who could work in the top hotels in Mayfair, London where I’m from. Our check in and out was seamless and when we left for Hanoi we had an amazing send off by the staff. Thank you so much Legend Hotel, will be back next year for a longer stay. Best wishes to you all. This place holds a special place in my heart. I booked at the last minute after changing my plans stayed for a week and spent my 50th birthday here. I had been on an escorted tour which i spontaneously left as it wasn’t as expected and randomly chose Ninh Binh and this hotel as a destination for some down time; I’d never heard of either the town or hotel a few days before which now feels unreal as they’re both so vast and beautiful that I can’t believe more people don’t know about them. I had a few issues at the beginning due to some ongoing health/stress issues (exacerbated by the tour, so I really wanted some down time) which meant I was grouchy about ongoing conference and construction noise on site, and about the fact that the rooftop pool/bar was closed. The construction noise IS a bit annoying, but I learned to live with the timings and sleep around it (early to bed, early to rise), however the warmth, friendliness and professionalism of the team and comfort of the room made up for it. The rooms are huge and very well equipped with shower and freestanding bath with a view, minibar, large beds and comfy bedding. Apart from the construction noise it’s very quiet and you cannot hear noise from other rooms. The breakfast buffet was huge. A couple of things to improve: more vegan/veggie options maybe and also keep the coffee and food warm and fresh. The buffet ends early at 9am and as most guests are on tours they tend to eat early and there are fewer people around after 8am

Excellent place to stay. We travelled in a group of 4. We LOVE this hotel. From the room to the facilities to the breakfast buffet…everything was top notch. We will definitely come back here.

Our hotel experience didn’t start off great. After 9 hours of travel, we arrived really excited,mainly because we had booked this resort for the rooftop pool. Unfortunately, we were told on arrival that the pool would be closed for 10 days, which was a big disappointment, especially considering the price we paid. It would have been helpful if this had been clearly stated on Expedia beforehand.
When we first entered our room, it was quite unpleasant. There was a strong damp smell, and the bed and chair were actually wet to sit on. The bathroom was also dirty and smelled bad. I contacted reception right away, and to their credit, they handled it well,meeting us downstairs and moving us to a room in another building, which was much better.
The location isn’t ideal as it’s quite far from most things, but we rented a scooter for 250, which made getting around easier.
Despite the rocky start, the hotel staff were absolutely amazing,from reception to the servers and cleaning team. They really made a difference to our stay. The breakfast buffet was average,not the best we’ve had, but not the worst either.
I did contact Expedia and received a small credit, which didn’t feel entirely fair given the situation with the pool. However, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a suite, which was fantastic and greatly appreciated.
A special mention to Linh (I hope I’ve spelled that correctly) he was incredible. It honestly felt like he never stopped working and always went above and beyond.

Hotellet var sådan set fint, men ligger i et kedeligt område. Ingen caféer eller handlemuligheder. Det er nok også et hotel for store grupper som oplever hele dagen, kommer sent og kører tidligt.
Måske derfor var den lækre pool på taget først åben når solen var ved at gå ned (kl 16). Det er ikke godt nok.
Fitness var ikke airconditioneret eller jo der var AC, men man skulle selv tænde når man kom ind - så ingen effekt i den tid man trænede.
Morgenmadsbuffet var god og varieret, men rummet var som at være på en banegård.
Vi sov lige ovenpå conventioncenteret og der var massiv larm på værelset frem til 22.00.
Personalet var som alle vi har mødt indrette land: meget venlige og imødekommende.
Værelset var ren luksus. Meget fin standard.

The shower plate from the rain shower and also the hand shower absolutely need to be cleaned, because hardly any water can get through.

Très déçue, pour un hôtel 5 étoiles on s’attend à autre chose. La literie est bonne, cependant les finitions de la chambre restent décevantes (nous étions dans le bâtiment B). L’isolation est catastrophique ; on entend tout, même quand nos voisins essaient d’éteindre les lumières. Lorsque le ménage est entrain d’être fait dans la chambre d’à côté il est du coup très facile de deviner ce qui est entrain d’être fait. Le plus catastrophique est le manque de respect vis à vis du bruit, le matin, du personnel qui s’occupe de nettoyer les chambres ; ça parle fort, voir sa crie (et pourtant ils ont des talkie walkie puisque on les entends aussi) et surtout ça rentre dans les chambres sans sonner, sans se préoccuper si nous sommes encore à l’intérieur à 7h30, quand c’est notre dernier jour. Je vous laisse deviner notre réveil… Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel non plus si vous n’êtes pas véhiculé il est loin de tout mais ça encore c’est stipulé sur l’annonce. En 2 roues ça change la donne et tout est à moins de 20 minutes. Aussi il y’a constamment une petite musique qui n’est pas assez forte pour empêcher de dormir mais assez pour que ça dérange.
Il y a eu tout de mêmes quelques bons points ; nous avons loué un scooter pour toute une journée et c’était très simple et le personnel de l’accueil (uniquement) reste très serviable. Piscine intérieure testée et c’était agréable. Passez votre chemin.

Schönes grosses Luxushotel im Zentrum Ninh Binh liegt relativ ruhig, aber an einer grossen Strasse im Bonzenviertel Ninh Binhs. Nahebei gibts Restaurant und Cafes in fussläufiger Entfernung. Indoorpool, w Außenpools und zwei weitere sind vorhanden. Zimmer war geräumig, ebenso das Bad. Heizung funktionierte. Essen war ok, eher durchschnittliches , Frühstückbuffet war sehr gut. Touristenspots sind von hier aus nur per PKW, Motorrad erreichbar. Trotzdem waren wir mit dem Hotel zufrieden und haben gut geschlafen. Schön grosses Bett und nicht zu weich. Rooftop Bar hat schöne Sicht.

Infinity pool was only available to swim at 4:00pm which was kind of a bummer. But there were 2 other pools in the next building with option of closed or open. Walkable to the busy streets of Ninh Binh with food, shopping and other stores.
