Het Angel Hotel is gelegen midden in het centrum van Wales. Tegenover Wales Castle en het prachtige Bute Park. Het hotel is op loopafstand van het uitgaanscentrum en ligt dichtbij Quern Street treinstation. Het personeel is vriendelijk en de keuken ronduit goed. Ik zou het iedereen aanraden!

Lovely hotel, opposite the castle. Had a lovely view of the castle. Only downside was the lift being out of order during our stay. A fair few stairs to be tackled, but otherwise I would stay again

In shockingly bad condition.
No working elevators, and we were told that they would not be repaired during our stay. The "elevators out of order" signs had the appearance of having been in place for weeks.
The bathroom had more mold than a health inspector would/should tolerate.
Peeling paint everywhere.
And not an apology or sign of apparent embarrassment from the staff.

The hotel appears very rundown, lifts were out of order so everyone was using the stairs (including some elderly visitors with mobility issues), decor is old and worn and the beds felt cheap and basic. I used to work in the hotel 30 years ago and it is disappointing to see it is such a shabby state!

Hotel looked ok from outside, inside was a different story. Lift not working, room showed its age. Stained carpet and repaired furniture. Window difficult to open. Bathroom shower fixture held together with tape. Steam from the shower caused the fire sensor to activate. Reception called to make sure we were ok. Breakfast buffet was fine, dinner menu was restricted but good. Bar was often unmanned. Staff were friendly. This hotel would require a lot of improvement to bring it to an acceptable level of comfort. Location was good.

Very old building. Lift wasn’t working which didn’t bother me but makes it inaccessible. No aircon and room was warm with no way to open windows, but there was a fan in the room which worked ok.

I'm not sure I'd stay here again. I chose it for it's central location. The hotel has some charm but feels tired and really old fashioned. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. It's a shame the lift were out of order. The room was ok and had a bath which I welcomed. There was little complementary items in the room. No fridge, bottled water or coffee machine. Basic tea and freeze dry coffee and uht milk cartons. No biscuits. No usb charging points in the room. I didn't sleep well partly owing to bed which wasn't the most comfortable.
I would say the this was not value for money at all given how much I paid.

Blev ignoreret ved ankomst, hvor receptionisten var mere optaget af hendes computer.
Elevator er defekt og må bære tung bagage til 2. Sal gennem en labyrint af trapper og gange.
På værelset er temperaturen skyhøj, da håndklædetørrer virker som radiator og ikke lader til at kunne slukkes
Hele hotellet virker nedslidt.

When I checked in there were no information provided about where breakfast was or what time it was.
The hotel is out dated and in a poor condition. The rooms are disgustingly unclean with paint flaking off the walls, years of dust around the furniture.
The mattress on the bed had clearly been used for a thousand years as it was so soft on one side that you’d spend the night on the tilt.
No hot water in the morning for a shower at 0630hrs.
I would not ratted this hotel if I was paid to do so
