The hotel is neat and the staff very pleasant, except for the staff at the pool side bistro. The kids loved the pool and slides, but those were way overcrowded. The rooms were fine but poorly cleaned every day. Marina view rooms have a nice view of the nightly fireworks.
Elevators were broken all the time which created queues and often forced us to use the stairs.
Dining and drinking options in the are are VERY limited. the hotel exploits this with absolutely outrageous prices for the pool side restaurant and the diner restaurant. The pool side restaurant served ordinary grill food and cheap drinks in plastic cups. 2 cheap drinks will easily cost you 50$.
The breakfast/dinner restaurant ("Red Marlin") is nice but a little bit outdated. The breakfast buffet is no different than any cheap motel. The dinner was exquisite, fantastic food, but the price tag will amount to a rent payment.
