Restaurant food was not good, plates also always looked a little dirty in the buffet line

While Atlantica is a fine hotel with friendly and helpful staff, it is not a "tourist" hotel in terms of location. We initially assumed we could walk downtown and to the boardwalk. A helpful front desk employee disabused us of that. Getting around Halifax from the Atlantica pretty much requires a car. Once we got accustomed to getting around by car, the hotel served its purpose as a clean, well-serviced accommodation and we had no complaints whatsoever. If someone wants to be located in the waterfront action, on the other hand, this may not be their preferred hotel. Other hotel clients we met included conference attendees, families wanting to be close to people in the nearby hospital, and parents visiting university students.

Hotel was great. The restaurant offered delicious food. The only complaint was the bed was a little soft. Otherwise all good.

Very disappointed in this stay. Expedia stated daily room service but the hotel stated that it was only every second day. On our 3rd day we came back and our room still wasn’t cleaned, when I called again they tried to tell me it was only cleaned after a 3 day stay. They did however send someone up. But to not even receive clean towels without having to ask is ridiculous. Also there are a lot of construction workers in the hotel who hang out at the entrance smoking weed. The smell of weed throughout the hotel was very evident. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

The rooms are recently renovated. However soundproofing is lacking so just be mindful that you may be hearing TV's and or people's conversations.

Hotel was great! Very quiet among guests. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. Lots of construction nearby so not a ton of sleeping in, but we were out exploring so it didn’t bother us a ton. Quick 5ish minute stroll to The Citadel and maybe 15 minutes to downtown food and drinks.

The hotel was nice in general and staff was welcoming at check in. The issue I had was my room was never cleaned in 4 nights. I saw the cleaning staff twice and I’m not sure why they never made it to my room as I was out early 3/4 nights there. I had to get extra towels from the pool. There was also food plates left in the hall from others for a good 24 hrs. The bartender at the restaurant was really nice and accommodating. All in all, it was okay but definitely not the best. The extra $34/ day in parking stunk so I think that should be advertised when booking.

I stayed here for a week because my boyfriend had to get surgery. It is very close to the hospital. About a 3 minute drive and 5-10 minute walk. Comfortable beds and clean room. One thing I was not happy with was the mattress protector came off the bed, when I went to put it back on, there was a rather big faded red stain on the mattress. I switched beds at that point because I was thinking it was blood. But other than that, the room was good. Also was not 100% comfortable with the fact that you can access the next room through a door in your room but there is locks there to stop the other people in the next room from opening your door. Staff was friendly and I liked that you’re able to click a button down at the front desk to call a taxi. Food from the restaurant on site was delicious and fast and friendly room service. I would stay here again.
