Front desk, valet and FortyOne server were all amazing. Our room was good, comfortable and clean. Unfortunately…. And this is not the hotels fault, the area was not pleasant, between the construction and how it was unkept, and the level of homeless and drugs made it feel very unsafe to walk around with my family. We only stayed one night, opted to stay in our room in a beautiful summer night because outside was not attractive.

Kind staff, even for a late check in and borderline late checkout. Was a wedding, but didn’t hear a sound, even if we were right over them : that was a relief. Personally, not a fan of carpeting, but the cleanliness overall made it that it didn’t feel gross unlike some places.

Amazing hotel!! Felt like we were staying in the height of luxury. We had an incredible view of the park. Helpful staff and valets.

Was Great

If you like freezing cold pools, you will love the pool at the Lord Elgin. A polite and courteous suggestion to boost the temperature did not manage to warm things up.

Nice property but avoid the room service - food is in edible. One of the worst food experience at a hotel. Salad was old and wilted and moving toward being off. The bread on the Club Sandwich was stale and the fries were not freshly cooked. Will not order from the room service ever again.

Great stay, great location, always a safe value in downtown Ottawa.

Not a fussy place. Gym and swimming pool feels a bit dated, everything else was fine. Nothing extraordinary, but overall a good stay.
