Everything was great except the person at the front desk when we checked in went on and on how many Hilton Honors points we would receive from our stay, and encouraged us to charge everything on the property to the room so we would receive 2X points. So we spent over $1,300 on the property in four days just for that reason when we could have gone elsewhere, only to find out our stay was ineligible for Hilton Honor points since it was booked through Expedia. When I brought this miscommunication to Hilton’s attention, they basically replied “So sad, too bad.”

eXCELENTE LUGAR!

We love to stay at Caribe Hilton when we come to Puerto Rico. The staff go above and beyond to ensure we are comfortable and that we have all we need. This trip we met Ivan who works at the beach and pool and he took the time to ask us about our plans and recommend several places to visit. His suggestions were spot on and we are so grateful he took the time and care!

The Hilton was in a great location. Not far from old San Juan. It offered a private beach which was very nice. The bartenders at the swim up bar were very friendly.

Everything was excellent!

Rooms were very dated for the price we paid. Rooms were also not very clean. My son found someone’s fake fingernail on the floor next to the bed. Hallways smelled musty but very cool compared to the inside of our room which had trouble keeping cool. Pools are very nice and restaurants are good. Time and energy have gone into keeping the grounds wonderful and picturesque, BUT the rooms were a huge disappointment. It

Our stay started with a major issue. The morning after our late arrival (1:30 AM), we discovered our room carpet was completely soaked due to a ceiling leak. This caused water damage to my suitcase, including shoes, clothing, and personal items, as well as our 5-year-old daughter’s backpack with books and toys. We estimate about $1,000 in damage. Although we were moved to another room and given one night compensation, this was agreed to before we understood the full extent of the damage. When I later asked about additional help and laundry support, the process was frustrating and required multiple trips to the front desk. Communication between managers was inconsistent and we did not receive much empathy during the situation. The only apology we received was from a security guard helping with the report. We were also initially charged for both nights and had to return to have the reimbursement corrected. Additionally, both hot tubs were out of service. The location is great, but the way this situation was handled took time away from our family vacation and did not meet the level of service we expected from a Hilton property. There are plenty of hotels in the area that will treat you better. If you have a choice, stay somewhere else.

Great hotel!

My room had an amazing ocean view. The staff was very friendly. My overall experience was great.

This hotel was in a great location and has a beautiful view. We booked the bi-level premium suite and really expected it to blow us away for the price. It was nice, but very dated. The carpet was old (and still wet on the stairs when we first arrived), you need two people to open the sliding glass doors on the balcony, the pictures show a sink in the kitchenette but there isn't one, and the refrigerator was one of the smallest ones I've seen. The tiles were cracked in the master shower, and the hot water heater is bipolar. In the morning you can barely cut it on before it burns you, but by the afternoon, you can't get it hot at all. I didn't notice when booking that there is an additional $50 per day resort fee that will be added to your bill. Unlike most Hiltons, you also do not receive a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet is $35 per person. There are a good variety of restaurants on site, but they are also pricey. There are several local restaurants around that are great quality and more affordable, but we were told that we couldn't bring any outside food to the pool area. They literally check your bookbag every time you go to the pool for glass, speakers, and outside food. The first 2 being understandable, but this means you are stuck ordering off their poolside menu that includes a $24 burger and $20 grilled chicken sandwich. There are plenty of chairs which was nice compared to some resorts. Overall, we had a great time, but I wouldn't rebook at this hotel.

Hotel, location, pool, bartenders were all great! AC worked! Rooms are simple, hotel is older but great over all! Try Morton's Steakhouse, need a resy!

I did enjoy daily yoga at the beach with Sulma, she is very professinal and knowledgeable. I wish there's more activities like dancing class, games, social..etc

Weather was not the best so fi ding beach/pool spots was not hard as other reviews have mentioned. Hotel grounds are awesome, resturants in the hotel were solid. The tours provided by the Concierge were top notch.

The exterior of the resort was wonderful but our room was terrible. There was water on the balcony that made it impossible to use the entire space. The furniture was old and outdated and every room, at the price I paid (way too much) should have a clean robe.

Love Caribe Hilton! With its own sandy beach, pool and beautiful grounds it’s my favorite place to stay in San Juan!

Such a lovely place - highly recommended. The hotel is a bit dated and due for a refresh, but despite that, I highly recommend this resort. Proximity to historic Old San Juan was magic.
