Fantastic hotel and location. I recommend the hotel Arpoador to everyone going to Rio. I loved it so much I left another hotel and came back for my last night in Rio. It’s worth every penny, oceanfront and town views.

The location is great, rooms have everything you need . Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good. The vibe is very nice. Good amenities. The cons. I didn’t like the smell that came out of the bathrooms near the reception. It’s just next to the elevator and it gives you the impression of lack of higiene. I believe the cost is really elevated for what you get, I had my expectations up

We totally recommend it! The location is amazing—close to all the key points in the city. It’s the only hotel in Rio directly on the beach, without a road separating it from the sand. The restaurant has amazing views, whether you’re going for breakfast or catching the sunset while sipping caipirinhas. The entire staff was amazing—friendly, informative, and always very, very helpful and welcoming. Special shoutout to Marcus and Matheus at the front desk. Rodrigo and Bruno at the restaurant were the best!! We spent 5 days in Rio, then headed to Lençóis Maranhenses. When we came back to Rio, we had originally planned to stay at another hotel, but we canceled and decided to return to Arpoador. We’re definitely coming back in the future. Thank you for everything!!

Hotel maravilhosos e excelente localizacao.

O atendimento dos funcionários foi excelente. As comidas do resturante muito boas, café da manhã excepcional. Fiquei em quarto de andar baixo de frente e a vista do mar é bloqueada pela calcada e árvores. A sensação de que dá é de falta de privacidade é grande. Não é muito silencioso (mas ok, fica em região movimentada). A cortina deixa passar bastante luz, acabei acordando muito cedo. O chão tinha umas manchas que deixavam um aspecto de sujo. Sinceramente não achei que tem um bom custo benefício... Mas com certeza voltarei pelo café da manhã.

O hotel é incrível, ficamos na suíte 50, no quinto andar com vista da praia. A vista é indescritível, o quarto muitíssimo confortável, com bom tamanho para um casal. As áreas comuns são muito elegantes, embora descontraídas. Excelente café da manhã. A piscina e a sauna, localizadas na cobertura, oferecem muito conforto e vistas espetaculares. Recomendo fortemente e voltarei com certeza.

nice location, lovely friendly and helpful staff and the design is great. But it's vastly overpriced for what it offers. The breakfast is a la carte only (no buffet as advertised somewhere), the outdoor terrace is plagued by wasps when you are eating, the "pool" is little more than a postage stamp, basically unusable (definitely impossible for swimming). And the roof terrace, though cute, is crowded with deckchairs in lines that hardly get any sun due to the shade from nearby massive buildings. It's a good location but a bit noisy if you face the ocean as there are often bands or singers busking there.

I had been eyeing this hotel for a while, as it always looked charming and sophisticated from the outside. When I finally traveled to Rio, it was my first choice. The location is perfect—right in front of the beach—and they provide beach service (chairs and umbrellas), which is very convenient. The breakfast was another highlight: a small buffet, but a wide à la carte menu, and the common bar is pleasant. We also had a great couple’s massage—thank you Miguel and Amanda! However, a few things could be improved. The pillows were extremely soft and unsupportive, among the worst I’ve encountered in a hotel. The towels were quite worn out, which is not what you expect from a hotel in this category. Be careful when booking: not all rooms have a view. Ours faced a wall, with no natural light—it felt like being in a storage room. Noise was also a problem: housekeeping was loud and even entered the room at 8:40 AM without knocking. The bathroom was clean but had visible mold in some areas, probably due to lack of ventilation. While the hotel promotes eco-friendly practices (like refillable toiletries), the lights are not linked to the room card, so they stay on if you forget to switch them off when leaving. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with great potential, but a few details should be improved to meet the expectations of its category and price range.

Lençóis furados, cortinas mofadas, boxe sujo… Fora que tinha uma barata no quarto e um cheiro de esgoto terrível. O atendimento é bom, mas as condições do hotel são muito ruins. Precisa de reforma, troca de enxoval, como as toalha que já estão velhas e ásperas. O café da manhã, é super lotado aos finais de semana.
