Rating & Review Keseluruhan Comfort Inn New Holland Amish Country

Beds hard, toilet too low and had to flush three times and toilet still didn't go down. Danish at breakfast was put out frozen. Check in was too long and when we got to the room the key wouldn't open the door, carpets were stained. Yuck

My husband and I stayed three nights at this hotel. We based our decision on customer ratings. For the life of me, I'm not sure why this hotel is rated so highly. It does have the potential to be an excellent hotel, but there were so many things wrong in our room, I just can't give it the higher rating. The pros are that the breakfast is wonderful! As far as our room goes, the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner was quiet and efficient. The cons were that the room, though it had been "prepared" for our arrival was just dirty. The carpet is so deeply soiled, that it needs to be replaced. The loveseat in the room was also very dirty. The bathroom had repairs that had been started long ago but never finished. There were no towel bars anywhere, so we had to ask for fresh towels each day. Normally, we would just hang them up and let them dry and use them again. The furnished shampoo and conditioner dispensers were both almost empty so I was glad I had brought my own. We decided to just stay in the room since it was a holiday weekend and most places were booked. Since we were mostly gone during the day, we didn't complain to the management about the room. We will be contacting corporate about it though. Since both my husband and I have been in property management for over 20 years, we know that it's the little things that seem to get overlooked. This Comfort Inn definitely needs the little things and some of the big things fixed right away.

When we first arrived to check in there was no one at the front desk. We waited for 5-10 mins before anyone came. There was no bell to ring or any phone to call for help. There were 2 other occasions where this happened during our stay. Also rooms were cleaned every 3 days - requests for towels, toiletries, etc had to be made to the staff. It appeared they were short staffed. Curtain was torn, sofa cushions were stained, shower curtain was dark yellow along the bottom - needed washing or to be replaced.

It's aged hotel and it shows, but good value hotel if you are budgeting. The room was clean and everything was operational.

Very nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting Lancaster. Right next to a family restaurant with delicious food.

This property was fine for our needs. Basic but serviceable -- clean, comfortable beds, typical breakfast, decent coffee, helpful staff. That's all we need, and the price was right. Thanks to all the staff!

This property smelled horrible. They had fans blowing trying to get rid of the bad odor. The front desk was unattended for 15 minutes trying to get checked in. The room was dirty and had pieces of the bathroom door broken off. The beds had hair all over the sheets and stains. We left the hotel for another.
