Great location for ford field and downtown. Easy in and out. Spacious. Not enough towels but we made it work. Would definitely stay again.

Told staff I was checking out due to finding a bed bug on the covers and they apologized profusely. The night manager told me to contact the morning manager for a refund because night audit needed to be ran first. When I called in the morning I asked to speak to the shift manager and was transferred to her line. I was sent to a voicemail and my call was not returned. Twice. They are refusing to refund me due to the room “being used”. OF COURSE it was used. I was going to bed and found it. Had literally been there since 1:40 pm. Paid $60 early check in fee and paid for valet. I was also told by another guest she was leaving due to seeing one on the chair while she was sitting at her desk. So they know it’s an issue and are playing with people’s money. I’ll never stay here again and it’s such a shame because the hotel is actually beautiful inside despite this. 2/10!

The male working the front desk has an attitude problem more than the females working there, he was very snappy and unapproachable, unable to ask him questions due to his smart remarks and comments back from the first questions . I arrived at 11:30 12 I try to get check in he reply to me. We’re not checking anyone in until we get everybody out this hotel I kindly ask what time would that be? He said 4 o’clock I said the concert is at 5:30. He replied back with what they got to do with me. So for the most part If I need a quick stay I pick here staff and valet was kind of sketchy. All I’m saying is don’t leave valuables in your car. Hospitality wise we were not greeted. We were told to take our things out of the car and wait for unavailable room. It was six minutes from Ford Field location wise was perfect

This is a great place to stay, nice rooms, great food, only down side is all the construction nearby. Makes it difficult to get around, but this area will be nice when they get it done. Had a great stay, Thanks

We loved how close the hotel was to all of the stadiums for sporting events. We just came into town for that. Was super great price point wise for a fun little weekend getaway. Rooms were so spacious and well kept. We had a fire alarm at 1:00am during our stay that was very disruptive. The alarm went on for a long time with instructions to leave the building. So we exited by the stairs out through alarm sounding doors onto the streets in the middle of the night. We then went back to the lobby for no staff to be concerned or telling guests it's fine to return to their rooms. I would say that really didn't sit well with me. The instructions on the speakers were to leave, but staff were not helpful or telling you otherwise. People running down stairs with baby strollers and small sleeping children at 1:00am deserves a bit more concern and respect from staff. It was the one part that ruined our entire weekend, and nobody seemed concerned to help us otherwise.

The rooms were very large and beautiful

Enjoyed the stay very much at Athenium. However the steps from bedroom to living room we're not handicapped friendly, and there were no rails next to the steps to make it any easier.

The hotel was clean and the staff great. Noise level just okay (elevators loud). Area around the hotel currently with lots of construction and closed roads, as is much of downtown Detroit.

Please update, clean the coaches, and hot tub jets.

We did not utilize the food services but we were very happy with the comfortable beds and that Fiji water was available in the mini fridge!

In town for a 2 day stay for comerica park. Athenium was very accomodating with shuttle service to and from the game. Would stay hete again! Very professional

Luxury in the midst of every site we wanted to see in Detroit! Perfection!

The hotel was recently renovated and it showed. Rooms are very large and much brighter then they were formally. There is a great deal of construction going on in the area so give yourself a little extra time to get around.

The room itself was super cool. I love a hotel that’s a repurposed building and has quirky architectural details like these cool giant columns, running up through the room. And, the room was huge! It was super clean and comfortable. However, we were placed right above the entrance on the fifth floor and, OMG, I do not know what’s going on with their HVAC. It was insanely noisy. Like deep, bassy, rumbling, vibrating noise. Maybe it was just a placement of our room and a room elsewhere would’ve been less noisy? Maybe the HVAC for the entire building was close to that room? I’m not sure but, geez.

The staff and housekeepers were very nice and helpful. Darnell and the Captain drove us around to wherever we wanted to go and were very friendly. Don’t desk also was welcoming. One of our favorite places to stay when in Detroit. Great location.
