Toen we toekwamen schrokken we er al van dat we de parking nog moesten betalen, ondanks we al een kamer betaald hadden. £5 valt nog mee, maar is overbodig als gast van het hotel. De kamer zelf was ruim en mooi in orde. De badkamer was ook netjes. Hier kunnen we niets op zeggen. Het restaurant was gesloten toen wij er verbleven, dus het avondeten ging door in de bar. De bar was niet mooi ingericht & het eten zelf was ook niet zo lekker. Tijdens het inchecken is ons niet verteld geweest dat we het ontbijt nog moesten betalen, dus dat was een verrassing ‘s ochtends. We waren wel genoodzaakt om hier te ontbijten omwille van onze dagplanning, maar het was veel te duur voor een ondermaats ontbijtbuffet.

Property was very nice the bedrooms were very large and the bed was extremely confortable. The bar is nice and food good. All staff are very nice and polité.

My original room had an issue with the door lock and the staff were prompt to upgrade me to another room.

Not great. When I got my key card and went to go in to my room I realised there was someone already in there. My colleague walked into “his” room and there was a lady in there already unfortunately for her she was getting undressed.

Very close to city but with some beautiful green outside space and a spa facility. Served food and drink.

Parking is NOT included.

They know what is wrong with it. Management need to seriously look at this

Unfortunately, I think this hotel has gone downhill since it took over from Doubletree. The car park looks awful with those big green pay for parking signs all over the place. Charging customers to pay £5 to park overnight isn’t good and just comes across as being greedy to me. The guy on Reception wasn’t particularly friendly. The rooms are tired and need a refresh. The breakfast was nowhere near as good as it used to be. Most of the breakfast buffet food looked like it had sat there all morning and wasn’t particularly tasty. The dining room is tired and scruffy. I had a bar meal on the night and the service was fine but the food was average yet quite expensive. I paid £10 for a starter that was tiny and undercooked. When I walked past Reception the following morning a manager seemed to be having a heated discussion with a member of staff that never looks particularly good in front of customers. It’s a shame because I used to stay at this hotel all the time when it was Doubletree but I won’t be booking it again.

Much better place when it was a HILTON, at least they had working aircon; these cheapskates have disabled it, the room was so so hot... The parking charge situation is a cop out - passing it on to a third party - very poor attitude. Other than that I didn't have any issues, many others checking in did - rooms not ready etc.. Wont be back in a hurry that's for sure...

This is a hotel in need of a refurbishment. It really is trying on past glories.

GREAT STAY - FRIENDLY RECEPTIONIST WHO SORTED OUR ROOM OUT FOR A QUITER LOCATION AS WE ARRIVED TOO EARLY TO CHECK IN. ROOM WAS CLEAN GREAT TEA TRAY. GREAT BATHROOM WITH GOOD SHOWER - ONLY DOWNSIDE ROOM WAS HOT DID GO DOWN TO RECEPTION FOR A FAN HOWEVER, THEY WERE BUSY SO DID NOT WANT TO TROUBLE THEM SO I AM SURE IF I WAITED THEY WOULD OF PROVIDED A FAN. DID NOT EAT IN HOTEL SO CANNOT COMMENT

Overbooked hotel- no one on reception …. The cleaner told us there was no rooms available- total apathy from cleaner and no manager or receptionist to be seen

When booking made, onsite parking was included, but when arrived the parking was charged!

Great in every way

The room and hotel itself we good, but it is crazy that at a place with a massive parking lot, that you need to pay a separate fee to park there.

Blode lady at reception is the rudest person ever, one of those that everything is a problem, very negative on everything stated
