A bit of a walk from the train station but quite do-able by tram or taxi, Hotel Rohan was well worth the effort. Locted mere meters from the Cathedral and central to the Grand Isle area, the hotel itself is a charming refuge from the throngs of visitors.

😀 Die Lage in der Fußgängerzone ist fantastisch. In ein paar Schritten ist man bei der Kathedrale. In der Nähe liegt auch das relativ günstige Parkhaus Austerlitz. Man kann die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuß erreichen. An der Reception gibt es einen Wasserspender und auf den Zimmern hat es eine Glasflasche, die immer wieder gefüllt werden kann. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. 🙁Leider ließ die Sauberkeit in unserem Zimmer sehr zu wünschen übrig. Im Bad waren Wände und Türrahmen komplett verschmutzt. Ebenso sah es im Gang aus. Hätte ich die Matratze vor dem Abreisetag gesehen, hätte ich ein anderes Zimmer verlangt. Auch die öffentlichen Toiletten bei der Reception sollte man öfter reinigen. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht genommen, daher kann ich nichts dazu sagen.

The hotel is located right by the cathedral on a very busy and touristy town square. It’s close to all types a restaurants and shopping. Very quick walk to petit France area as well. The basic room we stayed in was cleaned daily and had decent space and big French windows that let in a spectacular breeze. Because of the proximity to the cathedral you will hear church bells often! Breakfast was nice. Overall a very nice hotel with friendly staff and pretty quiet despite how much traffic is around it.

I picked the hotel due to the name (LOTR triggered!) then saw how reasonable the price was and booked. Did a little research and wow! what a location! I arrived quite late due to the flight times and the staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. Several times they courteously and patiently assisted me during my stay with directions for trams and recommendations. The housekeeping crew were excellent and unobtrusive, and the reception were absolutely delightful, nothing too much trouble for the flustered and obviously English tourist. I am hoping to come again next year - cant wait!

Location, staff and breakfast were all riveted stars. The major issue I have is with the shower. It is not easy to enter and turn on the water and has no safety features. i would not recommend for anyone with a disabilty.

Reception staff 5 star. Cleaning of room 3 out of 10. Coffeestation not replenished (stayed 3 nights). Bathroom should have rail to hang towels.

Hotel in zentraler Lage, mit freundlichem Personal: Positiv: Lage und Betten, im Komfort 3 Bettzimmer im 5. OG schönen Blick direkt aufs Münster Negativ: - Frühstück ok, für 17 EUR kann man machen, buffet jedoch sehr eng und es gibt Schlangen an 1 Kaffeemaschine, Auswahl übersichtlich. Es wäre schön z.B. in Frankreich frische Crossant oder Pain au chocolat vom Bäcker zu bekommen anstatt Mini-Crossant / Pain au chocolat Aufbackware - Gut waren die Eier, Speck , Würstchen und Käse/Wurst - Zimmer sind schon etwas älter, hellhörig, Bad sehr dunkel und Dusche eng (max. 80x80cm) - Zimmerservice hat Schlafanzüge einfach auf den Boden geworfen und zu wenig Handtücher gebracht, da ist noch Luft nach oben ...

Great location being in the cathedral square but that does mean Saturday mornings are quite noisy.

Some of the staff were very nice, while others trying to get breakfast and being no twice on two separate occasions very frustrating.

Perfect location for our stay in Strasbourg

Strasbourg is lovely, and this hotel was a special part of our stay there because of the incredibly central location, warm friendly staff and delicious breakfast! We would love to return to Strasbourg and the Hotel Rohan would be where we’d stay!

Great location! Staff, cleanliness and amenities could use improvement. A bit run down with lighting, upkeep and basic offerings needing care (mattresses, light fixtures, bathrooms). The staff was non-existent and unapproachable at times, even for basic questions. It’s a great budget option, but do manage your expectations!
