Excellent hotel , staff were very attentive, lovely atmosphere as it was coming up to Christmas.Room was ideal for a family of 4 with 2 grown up kids , good standard. Perfect for Dover port , which was only a few minutes away.

I cannot comment on breakfast as I had to leave at 4.30am. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and they are very good and nice. However this is also the second time I have been moved due to the heating/Aircon not working properly. I can't be sure but it might even have been the same room, certainly in the vicinity. However I called reception he came so quickly I barely had time to put my trousers on😄. He was very nice but couldn't figure out and so immediately offered me another room, which was an upgrade too. I can't complain about anything, however it would have been better not to have to move. When I arrived there were steps to the left of the door, which the very friendly maintenance man apologised for. I said there was no need as it was convenient as it gave me somewhere to rest the dogs bowl while I entered I was glad of it. The point being is was there a fault they knew about and was it the same room from 2 years ago with the same problem? I really don't know, if so that would be disappointing. However I really can't complain excellent all round.😊

Bathroom was a little on the small side

The bedroom was clean & comfortable. Some signs of wear & tear but nothing major. Didn’t like the communal areas as it was all open plan & very plain. There wasn’t a separate dining room either. The eating area was like a cafe.

We checked in around 15:00hrs, but were left around midnight for a ferry crossing, I phoned ahead explaining this couple of days before & was assured that a quiet room would be given, however, sadly this wasn’t the case, although we were further away from the reception area, we were placed in a room right next to the A2 at the hotels closest point & next to the car park, which meant we were constantly disturbed by both arriving guests & sound of traffic, I had an approx 570 mile drive once across into France so was not best impressed, for that reason, I can’t recommend this Holiday Inn, but have had some great stays in others.

Room was clean, spacious and quiet. Slept well for continuing journey.

Check in staff great. Lots of families and thin walls meant little sleep as children and parents making loads of noise until well past 11pm and from 6am. Lots or families at breakfast with children’s fingers in buffet food and mess on the floor. Not ideal for an overnight business stay

Aircon did Work parking was okay but the overall stay was very uncomfortable as the bed was too hard and we barely slept the first night we left early as I did not wish to sleep in the bed and mattress was very, very hard

I struggled to find parking as there was a wedding on the same night and had to park in the Electric car space. There were a few stains on the bedroom carpet and not enough milk in my room.

Dog friendly. Able to eat in bar with hound. Ample parking outside. Plenty grass for a dog wee.

Very convenient, clean and comfortable. Walls a little thin -could hear the neighbours coughing, However the beds were spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was good too. Breakfast was ok and staff very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was a little out of the way, so you’ll have to use taxis for Transport. They were very accommodating when we arrived early and they got us all checked in. The property was well maintained and the room was a nice size. The staff were helpful and managed all us cruise passengers even though there was a lot of us. I would stay here again. Dover is a beautiful town.
