Rating & Review Keseluruhan Ramada by Wyndham Thunder Bay Airlane Hotel

This is a VERY OLD property which should probably be totally reconstructed. Though clean it’s far behind modern standards. Vastly misrepresented on the web site. The parking lot is a minefield the lobby dated, and the isolation of the place makes it feel like one’s vehicle is an easy target for theft, though I’ve been assured that’s never happened. It’s an ideal property to convert to convert to an assisted living facility before demolition. Our accompanying couple left promptly after viewing their room, and I would have too, had I not booked through EXPEDIA — getting a refund would have been a pain in the ass! Live and learn!

Friendly staff

The restaurant next to the hôtel was great . The first room we got was terrible dirty bathroom not clean bathtub dirty with dog food on the floor and the room was brown dark and so hot inside when you enter. The second room was bright white sheets fresh feeling when you enter very nice welcoming compare to the others room . The front desk gentleman was very helpful thankyou to him

Staff was kind, friendly and helpful, really enjoyed them. The main things were clean (bed and bathroom, desk) but everything else seems like it was in need of deep clean like the curtains, lamp shades, walls, dust bunnies on the ceiling etc. We had to change rooms two times when we got in before we got the room I just described above. One had a small bloodstain on sheet and other room had clogged sink and french fries in the heater. Breakfast had a lot of variety but highly processed food. Definitely has potential as I found staff exceptional but an extra hired hand to do some detailed cleaning would help spruce up the place.

My 1st accomodation stunk like weed and cigarettes. My 2nd accommodation I moved to was dirty and stunk also. I complained and asked for a manager to call me and its been 3 days no return call. I will not stay here again.👎 Cant use the eord r-o-o-m here

The breakfast was the only good thing about the stay

I left the property and had them return my room and deposit the room was not clean and was discussed

I always stay here and its usually great! This time I was put in a room upstairs that was pretty gross. The lights flickered like a strobe light, pillowes were very old and lumpy, there was what looked like a chiklet gum on the floor in the bathroom, and stains on the bedding. Lock on door was broke and hanging...not great

I booked through Expedia, I got a crappy room, the couch cusions had holes in them, looked dirty, I wouldn't sit on it. There was no bath tub plug. The ceiling was all damaged from water, not repaired. Had a weird smell to it. The check in person was great!! Very polite.

Pictures look absolutely nothing like the rooms.

-pipes leaked, bathroom flooded overnight - only 1 light worked in the room. Just one lamp in the corner. - breakfast homefries were stone cold - they served expired milk more than a week past the best date

Needs to change where the heat comes out, very cold even if heater was set to a reasonable temperature. The staff is always nice and helpful.
