Areli hotel no tiene aire acondicionado funcionando , demasiado calor , sin luz en el pasillo de los elevadores y solo 2 toalla en la habitación que era para dos . Me cambiaron 2 veces de habitación y sin aire ambas . La señorita de la recepción trato de ayudar pero no apareció ningún manager a resolver ni pude dormir del calor y pagué $170 , ni lo recomiendo para nada , me ofrecieron agua como compensación por la molestia . Me pareció muy poco profesional y responsable este hotel .

Our stay at the Novotel Hotel in Ghent, the Netherlands, 15-17 Oct 2025 was excellent. With the exception of a couple of people, overall, the hotel's staff was friendly and hospitable. The photos matched the room -- clean and roomy. The mirror in the bathroom was a foot higher above my head (5 foot 2 inches) and the lighting was not bright enough. A light in the entrance way was broken, and not fixed during our 2 day stay, even though a cleaning staff member knew and promised to have it fixed. When requested our daily supply of coffee packages, both the front desk (condescending) and the cleaning staff were not readily responsive. BTB Fresno, CA, USA

La location de l’hôtel est idéal le près de tout les attractions majeures. Ma chambre sentait la cigarette très fort … au point a m’irriter les voies respiratoires.

Très bon séjour ! L’hôtel est idéalement situé, proche de tout ce qu’il faut pour visiter ou se déplacer facilement à pied. La chambre était spacieuse, propre et confortable, parfaite pour se reposer après une journée bien remplie. Le personnel était accueillant et professionnel. Je recommande vivement cet établissement !

I rarely leave reviews. I stay in hotels all over the world and I've worked in 44 countries at the last count. I've stayed in the Novotel Gent before, even hosted a week-long conference here in 2023 not that made any difference. In short the hotel is over-priced and under-loved. Specifically I payed 200 Euros a night for a hotel with a hole in the carpet, skirting board hanging off, scruffy, unkempt paint flecks (missing paint) in the bathroom and plastic curtains (with dirty marks). If I was paying 100 Euros a night I might not grumble, but come on this is a Novotel. The night staff on my arrival was quite insistent that I pay in full on my arrival at just before midnight. I know some hotels may have this 'rule' but it might have been a bit more considerate, say empathetic to ask about my journey (long tiring journey) and say "don't worry sir we know you have stayed here in the past, pay in the morning." I had problems with my business card and was put under pressure to pay the next day. When I managed to contact my bank and sort my card issues I came to pay the balance on Thursday morning to be met by "Oh I can't do it now, it's too difficult, pay in full when you check out". I also asked to change my room on Thursday. I was met by I can't do that you have to come back when my manager is here. Super: you can demand my money but you can't address the poor state of my room. It wasn't helped by the words "I can't help you I am only following orders". Awful choice of words

Nice good looking hall but rest of the hôtel is dated and particulary the rooms. Thery are due for a major refresh. I would not recommend it.

The property is sadly lacking in maintenance. We have stayed in Novotel’s in other countries and had higher expectations than what we were met with. Paint peeling in the shower, bedside light switches, broken or missing, blackout curtains old and tattered

Great location that is close to the city center and many attractions. Nice and safe hotel.

Supersentralt hotell i Gent. Ved å gå ut døra var man rett i sentrum. Også fint med basseng, selv om jeg ikke brukte det. God frokost. Men hotellet begynner å nærme seg behov for oppussing , for eksempel litt oppfriskende maling. Også mye tepper i gangene og på rommet. Rensligere og bedre er parkett. Bevilg noen kroner til opp-pussing !!

Nice Hotel located perfectly in the city. Staff was nice, the breakfast was good and overall everything was well organized. Only stayed for two nights but it was really enjoyable.

Ideale ligging in het centrum van de stad. Vriendelijk personeel, vlotte check in. Zwembad is buiten, niet overdekt en niet verwarmd. Neem zelf badslippers mee! Voldoende badlakens ter beschikking. Wellness is aan de receptie te reserveren en gratis beschikbaar, maar omvat slechts een stoomcabine voor 3 personen, sauna voor 4 personen en douche. We hadden eerlijk gezegd iets anders verwacht, maar waren toch heel blij om daar even te kunnen relaxen. Kamer en badkamer/toilet zijn aan een opfrisbeurt toe. Hier en daar wat slijtage op de kamer. Bedden en kussens waren niet erg comfortabel. We sliepen er 1 nacht tijdens de Gentse Feesten en waren heel blij dat we niet ver moesten wandelen. Het nachtlawaai in het achterliggende steegje onder ons raam namen we er maar bij, dat was op dat moment moeilijk te vermijden ;-)

Front desk staff were not very helpful are sympathetic with our problems.
