Lovely property with beautiful surroundings and a great neighbourhood. The hotel itself is charming, although it can feel a bit like a maze when trying to find your room. I stayed in Room 323, which was very comfortable. The room did not have air conditioning, but when I requested a fan, the receptionist provided one immediately, which was much appreciated. The room amenities were good, and I particularly enjoyed the daily selection of biscuits, which changed each day and added a nice touch. One point to note is that a colleague's room was located next to the linen room, and unfortunately they had a disturbed night's sleep due to housekeeping activity starting around 6:30am. I stayed for two nights on a business trip in early June and overall had a pleasant experience. The setting and local area were definitely highlights of the stay

Love the Sandymount. The staff is great friendly without being intrusive, happy to help and always offers a cup of tea or drink while you are waiting. The hotel is simple and comfortable. We love its location and it's close to Dublin if you pick up the train, an uber or taxi. Have stayed multiple times and never disappointed.

We were impress with clean rooms and helpful staff. The only suggestion i could make is the air con in the rooms as we were very lucky with the weather. The hotel had so many cosy sitting areas which is great for relaxing and we found the bar was very reasnable priced. The location is also good as only 2 stops to town by train.

The rooms were very warm! If you were going during warm weather, it is extremely stuffy.

Way too much noise late at night and walls/doors are paper thin.Terrible pillows and beds although we were given new pillows on our second evening which helped. Reception was helpful and acted swiftly when we let them know maintenance was needed in the bath and cleaning staff were prompt to clean up after their maintenance personell who left mud and dirt everywhere.

Clean room, quiet area. Car charger didn’t work which caused much inconvenience.

Breakfast good, bar area good. Room were comfortable, with nice renovations to bathroom. Good water pressure and hot water. Hallways were a bit old and tired, shifty floors. Lots of steps to entry/exit not ideal for large luggage.

Very comfortable, quiet hotel and near the DART, so convenient for accessing other areas of Dublin

Booked a weekend as we came over for the rugby. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. we ate in the restaurant on the Friday and had a lovely meal. The hotel is very busy on rugby days but it doesn’t impact on the service. Wish we could have stayed longer. Taxi from the port 20 mins and €22. Bus and dart from the port €5 each and took over an hour.

Lovely spot, right by the mountains, station, and town. The staff were super attentive and friendly. The shower pressure was a bit weak and the WiFi wasn't the best, but otherwise, our stay was perfect.

We stayed in the Sandymount for two nights. I had previously been told it was busy but when we arrived I was amazed at the number of cars in the car park. This was a good sign. The hotel was lovely and we had great rooms and the staff were attentive at all times. Not far from the city centre by car, and I would have been prepared to walk if others in my party would have joined me. The breakfast was good. The property itself is quirky because it is effectively a bunch of old victorian villas joined together and extended at the rear. Some of the rooms might not have an external view, but the rooms were well decorated and furnished and the little distance to the city centre meant some peace and tranquility. I would definitely stay here again.
