I loved the greenery and ponds, food could have been slightly better but was good for the value

Desde la llegada nos recibió en el lobby una recepcionista muy amable llamada Chabela. Nos trató muy bien. La estadía fue buena, el personal en general suelen ser agradables, hay muy pocas excepciones.

The only downside was that most of the staff didn't speak English. Everything else was great!

Very nice hotel, property was very nice quiet. Mostly family-oriented so keep that in mind. Service was great staff was excellent. Our check in was a bit slow but they made up for it with a complimentary bottle of wime which was above and beyond. My only complaint was the food. It was ok but again for spending almost 600 usd for 2 night we expected a bit more in this area. Also and this is just a common theme in all inclusve hotels in punta cana, but i wish there was more tradition dominican food and recipes being represented. No offense but i can get chicken tenders, pizza, and sandwiches anywhere but where was the local cuisine and flavors? I think this is something that needs to be of more focus. Ultimately i am there to experience dominican culture and you cant separate dominican culture and dominican cuisine so i think there needs to be more of a focus on that. As a chef in nyc, I look forward to going to different countries and trying THEIR cuisine not a makeshift version of what they thinl i want.

Great customer services. Entertainment group are the best of the best and the restaurant staff are super nice and friendly. Had a great time with the family and coming back for more. Overall 8/10

J’ai pris deux jours et heureusement que j’ai pas pris plus le personnel était très mal pas souriant pas accueillant pas serviable, au début je me suis dit c’est juste une ou deux personnes c’est correct ils sont fatigués je comprends ya beaucoup de monde mais quand je vous dis tout le personnel c’est vraiment tout j’ai détester mon séjour à cause de ça sa va dégoûter aussi la nourriture étais pas fameuse meme chose pas varié voilà la plage était pas fameuse non plus très petite mais l’endroit était jolie paysage très beau

I didn't enjoy my stay here whatsoever only thing dope about this place is the bartenders and wait staff. My room had blood-stained sheets on the baby crib as well as my mattress. There were bugs all in my room and when I asked to move rooms, I was told that I could move the next day then the next day they told me I had to stay there due to them not having anything available. It felt like problem after problem staying here.

My family and my friend’s family booked the same week vacation at the same price. At check in we asked to be near eachother, after a 2 hour check in line they placed us completely opposite sides of the property. She was in building 2 and they placed me in 23. The most disgusting old room I’ve ever seen, outside under construction, old dirty wicker furniture, mosquitoes flying in the room. I immediately went back to the front desk where I was told I can only upgrade to a different building and pay more , which I did because the 23 building is so disgusting. I paid for an upgrade and went to building 10, which was beautiful. They place 2 beers and 4 sodas in your fridge and no ice machines on the property. Half my stay when you call for ice they don’t come. Asked for pillows 2 days straight and didn’t get any until 3rd day. Getting a reservation at a restaurant is sheer torture and the front desk screwed up our reservation for Japanese only allowing 4 to go when we were a party of 6. Italian restaurant was good. The amount of torture on the beach from women asking to braid your hair, and the men trying to sell trinkets and sea exertions is extremely frustrating. My favorite part of vacation was the staff at the beach bar, so friendly , the best service. If you fell asleep in your beach chair you were woken up by people trying to sell things - at night nothing to do. Buffet was gross. My friends bathroom ceiling collapsed on her while showering, she got hurt . Won’t be back.

Trip started with room we had booked not being available for 2 days, so they put us in a room directly next to the event stage which had blasting music until 10pm. We didn’t have any beds/cribs until 9pm the first night. They didn’t seem to care or provide any service which would make you feel welcomed or heard. Overall the food is bland or bad, but the coffee shop and muffins, and a la carte restaurants are good. The Japanese is the best. Service at the buffet restaurants is pretty bad - don’t expect to get water during your meal (or you’ll get it right before you finish) - the staff just seems miserable and sad. Omelet station was most promising for breakfast, pasta station for dinner given they were both made to order. Kids pool is nice and privileged beach area has nice space and beds. Kids club isn’t welcoming to English speaking families. We had a nice family trip but overall disappointed in the hotel and most of all the service.

Very well kept property.

The property was beautiful and very well maintained, There was definitely a lack of communication from all/most of the staff. Check-in staff did not communicate well. about anything but giving you your key/wristband. Had to figure things out on our own and ask a lot of questions. Bar staff was not friendly at all unless you had $$$ in your hand. I tip after getting serviced, not before. Restaurants...also had very poor communnication and most wait staff were unfriendly. I would not go back because of the staff. Many of the drink/water servers at the. restaurants were the friendliest. The entertainment staff were very friendly.

Recently stayed for 4 nights. We were unable to book a reservation at any of the restaurants on the resort, they were all completely booked. Our room was outdated and needs repairs, especially in the bathroom. I hate that the venders hound you to make a purchase especially at night. The food at the buffet was terrible for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly and the resort was kept clean. Would I return or recommend this resort? No

We really enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Punta Cana! It’s a very family-friendly resort with lots of activities for kids and families. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The entertainment team spoke French, Spanish, and English, and we loved meeting guests from Europe, Canada, Central and South America — it made for such a fun and lively atmosphere. We stayed in a standard (non-privileged) room, which was older and had some issues. There was a wad of hair in the shower, the bed broke the first night (quickly repaired), the door hinge came off, the TV didn’t work, and there were exposed wires above the bed. It didn’t ruin our trip, but I would definitely recommend booking a Privileged or newly renovated room if possible. The beach was absolutely stunning — soft white sand, clear shallow water, a Blue Flag designation, and a lifeguard on duty. The pool was huge and never felt crowded, and we always found available chairs without having to save them early. The kids' pool and small slide were a huge hit! The food was great with lots of variety — two buffets and several à la carte restaurants. Every meal we had was delicious, and the service was excellent throughout. Overall, even with a few room hiccups, it was a fantastic, memorable family trip. We would absolutely recommend Catalonia Punta Cana for families looking for a relaxing beach vacation!

Room was nit clean correctly

Cockroaches in the room, mold growing in the bathroom and on the wood on the exterior of the building, no control of the ceiling fan speed, stray cats and dogs, rats, and no access to the restaurants - they need reservations, which was not conveyed when I booked the resort. Harassment by beach vendors every 5-10 minutes makes for an unpleasant and unrelaxing environment. Birds picking at/eating and walking on the food on the buffet, and the workers couldn’t care less - birds pooping on the dining chairs…makes for a pretty gross dining experience. Overall an awful experience.
