They clearly were not full and we asked at check in for a room change to a higher floor and were denied. this was after they had sent us an email asking if we wanted an upgrade for an additional charge. Also, we asked to have wine glasses delivered to the room and they stated they do not do that.

The property felt dated especially in guest room. There was a roach on our curtain one night. Always brought us fresh towels in the am, and beach front access was perfect. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, expensive overnight parking & resort fees. Definitely mixed experience here.

Ana at the front desk was excellent. The main issue is if you are going to charge $55 per day for a resort fee, we shouldnt have to pay for every activity around the resort. Activites like making necklaces and crafting should be included. Not all of the beach activities were avaliable.

When I arrived, they did not have a room available. I had to wait an hour and a half to get my room. Then once we headed to the room, the elevator had no air condition when we arrive to the room. The rug was dirty. The property needs an upgrade

I was in love! What is there bad to say? My arrival was welcoming and warm! My room was cool. There are SO MANY THINGS TO DO! There are ducks, fish, crabs, squirrels! Benches for coffee! A spot for dogs!!!!! Kids can party like they own that place! Every person and staff member I encountered was extremely helpful and kind! I loved watching all the families spend time together! All the cabanas and hammocks! Those rocked big time at night while relaxing and listening to live music!

Having stayed at TradeWinds now for years, we were disappointed in the condition of the property. We understand the need to open the property after the storms last year, but it is obvious someone is asleep at the wheel, as to how the property presents itself. The amount of weed growth and trash surrounding the beach facing side of the property is a lack of commitment by management. We also had maintenance work on our AC three times, before fixing the problem. Disappointing and may be out last time!

Great family-friendly trip, tons of activities for kids. Our kids even made friends while doing the slide all day and some of the pool competitions. The food and bars were solid. Rooms were a bit out dated and could use a deep clean (under beds were pretty dusty and gross) but were otherwise comfortable. We stayed in a 2br suite with three adults and two kids and it was plenty of space. They could do a little better providing more guidance and direction about the beach activities and set up. Took a bit to figure out which amenities were included and what was extra, but once we got settled it was such a fun day! Would definitely return!

I stayed at TradeWinds 30 years ago and have such fond memories of that visit—it’s where I met my soon-to-be in-laws. Unfortunately, returning this time felt like stepping into a sad shadow of what used to be a vibrant, welcoming resort. The room we were given had a lingering, unpleasant smell—like old dates or something sour left to sit. The patio door wouldn’t open, so we couldn’t even enjoy the fresh air or step outside. The bathroom ceiling was so low I felt claustrophobic, and the fridge didn’t work at all. Sleeping was a challenge with hard beds, flat cheap pillows, and itchy sheets. Services were minimal, and the beach chairs are no longer the plush blue-cushioned ones from the past—just flimsy, uncomfortable plastic. The lobby was bare and lifeless, almost like a funeral home. To top it off, 70s love ballads played on a loop, adding to the odd, depressing atmosphere. The paddle boats were coated in green scum, the Pepsi was flat every time, and the breakfast was cold. The hot tubs were tiny and uninviting, and the public restrooms were dirty and poorly maintained. I came hoping to relive a beautiful memory, but what I found was a tired, neglected resort that’s lost all the charm it once had. I won’t be coming back. TradeWinds is sadly no longer what it used to be.

Very dated property with amenities geared more toward children. They nickel and dime you for everything including where you sit on the beach. I will not come back.

Staff were uninformed of changes to on-property restaurant hours over a holiday weekend. Within minutes of arriving, we were told 3 different restaurants were open. When we walked to each, one had just closed, one wasn't open for another hour, and one hadn't opened at all that day. Got to room and fridge was warm and door wouldn't shut. Called front desk, who said they'd send somebody right up. Nobody ever came, so I fixed myself. Following morning, coffee maker wouldn't turn on. Maintenance showed up for that- circuit had tripped. Later that day, maintenance came to change out a balcony light (we didn't request this, and were ok with the change... they do it for the turtles). However, when they left, they LEFT OUR ROOM DOOR PROPPED OPEN. We would never have known, but my wife ran back to the room for something we had forgotten, and the maid told her that our door was open when she arrived to clean (it was being held open by the swing bar door latch being swung between the door and the door frame). Nothing was stolen, but in 30+ years, I have never had hotel staff leave a hotel door open and/or unlocked. That was the first 24 hours. Tried the Italian place for supper, and was seated at a table that rocked so bad, the glass stemware never would have survived the meal. Full disclosure: I slid the table a bit because there was an AC vent directly above the table that was leaking water ON OUR TABLE. We left. Our elevators only worked 3 of 5 days we were there. Never again.

Unable to access Rum Fish Amenities because it was too far to walk.

They are stil in hurricane recovery mode.

I can't wait for everything to be fixed from the storms . I'll definately come back when it is complete .
