Lovely hotel with garden courtyard. Breakfast had a great selection and enjoyed sitting having breakfast in the courtyard. Not too far to walk to the train station , about 15 mins and the bus stop for the Alibus to the airport was about 7 min walk.

Hotel grande com ótimas instalações. Banheiro bom, cama boa. Café da manhã muito bem servido em um local com terraço externo muito gostoso. Próximo das atrações da cidade é fácil acesso a elas a pé.

Great staff, wonderful breakfast buffet

We loved it, very close to train and bus terminal as well as city centre and Via Etna. Rooms are big, well ligth and have balconies. Breakfast is great and we really appreciated the staff attention and help, particularly from Francesca and Santo.

We had a 3 night stay.. The staff was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. There was dust on the hangers, but easily resolved. Our daily breakfast was delicious and the Nespresso made for a perfect cappuccino every time! It was an easy 10 minute walk to the piazza del Duomo. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Helpful and friendly reception, valet parking garage, walkable to historical center, good breakfast, clean rooms and lovely courtyard.

Embora a aparência externa não seja das melhores, o hotel foi todo reformado por dentro, e as instalações são bem agradáveis. A equipe é muito cordial e prestativa. O café da manhã superou nossas expectativas, com várias opções de frutas, pães, frios e doces. O hotel fica no centro (bem localizado) e tem convênio com estacionamento (15 Euros/dia), mas preferimos estacionar na rua (zona azul), a um custo de 2,90 Euros/periodo, mas não foi muito fácil, havia poucas vagas disponíveis.

Only gave a lower star for service as was charged parking despite it being confirmed on my booking. Wasn’t pleased and forced to pay. Otherwise liked the hotel

Ottima struttura la consiglio

After spending time trying to find a reasonably priced hotel we found this little gem. Some reviews were negative some positive. We were stopping over for a couple of days so just needed what it said on the tin!! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room basic, but very clean and air conditioned. Free soft drinks and water were added each morning, fresh towels and room cleaned even on a 2 night stay. Nice relaxing area and court yard for breakfast, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee juice, bacon scrabbled eggs, everything you need to start the day. Not quite a 4 star but not necessarily a 3 star, no coffee/tea making facilities in bedroom but everything else, ensuite, safe, WiFi, TV. Area of hotel is a shame, but after walking the street I think all of Catarina is the same. I wouldn't blame the hotel but the local government, it could be so much more but little investment in clean streets and generally keeping it looking nice compared with other Itian regions we travelled through. On the whole if you need a proper hotel offering good service, somewhere safe, friendly staff you could do a lot worse than Katana If I need a stop over again in this area I would use again, a good central place to leave and explore.

Nice hotel, the area is a bit challenging on approach from the train station (on foot). The breakfast buffet is fantastic (avoid the filter coffee) and there is a full range of options. The AC did not feel effective overnight, although it was noticeably cooler on entering the room.

Catania è una città molto rumorosa e caotica ma questo hotel sorge in una via incredibilmente poco trafficata,in più la mia stanza affacciava sulla terrazza interna. Qualità del sonno ottima.Grazie anche all'aria condizionata perfettamente funzionante. Fuori c'erano 32 gradi! Comodo a piedi alle zone più belle e turistiche della città. Colazione buona e abbastanza varia. Tutto sommato esperienza più che buona. Grazie.
